Chapter 30 Danger
Chapter 30 Danger
Frodo looked at him and nodded solemnly, but a trace of melancholy still lingered between his brows.
"I wonder if your homeland is as beautiful as the Shire?" Frodo took a bite of the elven biscuit dipped in sauce.
This delicious food is so good you'll never get tired of it.
Moreover, Gandalf once said that only a prosperous civilization could create such a delicacy.
Just like the elf cookies that the elves created!
Upon hearing Frodo's words, Tie Hui was momentarily lost in memories.
"That was a wonderful world! Just like the Shire, but everyone there worked even harder than the hobbits of the Shire! It took thousands of years of hard work to create our prosperous civilization and nation!" Tie Hui recalled his life in his previous life, when he was just an ordinary person.
But as Gandalf said, fate will eventually push him back onto his original path in various ways.
"I think it must be a more prosperous and peaceful place than the Shire, and I even feel it's more prosperous than the elves," Frodo said with a smile.
Tie Hui smiled and nodded; he completely agreed!
"Yes! But now I'm here! I can no longer witness that bustling scene!" With that, Tie Hui shoveled all the food off his plate.
"Is it Sauron?" Frodo asked.
Tie Hui stared blankly ahead, a look of sadness flashing in his eyes: "Yes!"
Frodo watched as Ironfelter subconsciously touched the magic ring hidden inside his shirt.
"Will you stay in the Middle-earth after that?"
"No! I want to go back to the East, I want to go back to my homeland!" Tie Hui turned to look at him, a smile on his face.
But to Frodo, it was just a show of composure.
Even if Sauron is defeated, the East remains very dangerous!
"I know!" Tie Hui nodded, "But that's my hometown! Just like Xia Er means to you! No matter how difficult it is, I will go back!"
After saying that, he raised his hand and rubbed Frodo's head, then picked up the plate Frodo had finished eating and went back.
Frodo was left sitting there, touching the Ring, lost in thought.
"Is it really okay for you to bewitch people like this?" The Emperor's voice echoed in Tie Hui's mind.
"So what?" Tie Hui replied nonchalantly, "Anyway, you said you'd build a good relationship with them, and who knows, they might give me some good stuff later."
"You even lie to children, how shameless!"
"Please, he's 50 years old!"
"You wouldn't happen to have your eye on the Light of Elandil, would you?"
"Truly worthy of being called a weasel that can be granted an official title!"
"roll!"
After a night's rest, everyone set off again!
This time the speed increased significantly, and by dusk in the afternoon, they had already passed the two huge statues.
"After another day's journey, we'll be able to reach the shore!" Aragorn shouted to the group.
"Will we rest on the shore again tonight?" Legolas asked, his face revealing his worry. "I sense something following us! It's an evil force!"
"Shall we land directly on the west bank?" Boromir suggested to the group, "and then use Rohan's horses to quickly reach Gondor!"
Tie Hui didn't join in the conversation, but instead glanced at the signal on the bird divination device.
It showed that a group of thousands of life signals had been closely following them on the west bank of the river.
Although hidden by the dense forest, he could not see the orcs with the naked eye.
But he knew that this was another orc sent by Saruman!
Judging from their numbers, they are far more numerous than those sent out in the original drama.
This is very bad news!
After putting away his oracles, he shouted to the people on the three small boats ahead, "We need to speed up! As Mordor gets closer, our danger will greatly increase!"
"Did you see anything?" Aragorn asked, turning around.
Tie Hui shook his head: "I feel uneasy deep down, and Legolas must feel the same way, perhaps even more strongly than I do!"
Upon hearing this, Legolas looked at Aragorn and nodded in affirmation: "I can always sense a foul, fishy stench, faintly wafting to my nose! I know it all too well! It's the disgusting smell of orcs!"
As Legolas finished speaking, everyone in the team tensed up.
The ship's speed increased dramatically in an instant!
That night, the group tied the four small boats together with ropes and had people take turns guarding them in the middle of the river overnight.
Throughout the night, the roars of various orcs, the rustling of trees, and the cries of birds rose and fell.
Until the sun rises the next day.
The sound of rushing water woke everyone up, and the humidity in the air increased significantly.
Tie Hui rubbed his eyes and looked ahead, where he saw the waterfall already in sight.
We have arrived at our destination!
The group woke up one by one and brought the boat to shore.
"We're heading to Rohan next!" Tie Hui spread out a map, pointing to the locations on it one by one, "and then from Rohan through Gondor into Mordor! But this route is too risky, and it's easy to be exposed!"
"Then let's head straight to the east bank, through the Melancholy Hills, past the Dead Swamp, and then dive in!" Aragorn drew another route.
"But we still have to enter through the main gate! We still have to face Sauron's army!" Boromir said, shaking his head.
Now, he is eager to get the team to Gondor.
He didn't know why he had this thought, but it was getting stronger and stronger.
Aragorn pondered for a moment, and finally agreed to the route of going to Rohan first, then Gondor, and then into Mordor.
After agreeing on the plan, everyone started munching on elf cookies.
After drinking some water and resting for a while, everyone got up and set off.
Because they knew something was following them.
Therefore, we cannot delay for too long!
The group finally stopped to rest on a flat area after noon.
Just as everyone was searching for firewood and preparing to boil water,
Sam glanced at him out of the corner of his eye!
They saw the sword at Frodo's waist glowing blue.
"Frodo!" Sam stood up in shock.
Frodo, puzzled, looked down and was instantly horrified!
Pippin and Merry, who were carrying stones to build a campfire, quickly gathered around and drew their swords upon seeing the scene.
Pippin was about to shout to the people around him who were gathering firewood, but Sam covered his mouth with his hand.
"You'll attract the enemy!" Sam whispered, then quickly walked back the way they came by the river, saying to the three, "Quick, quick, let's get out of here!"
Aragorn was the first to return, but when he saw the scattered stones, the materials for starting a fire, and the chaotic scene, he immediately realized something was wrong.
He immediately drew his longsword and shouted, "Frodo! Sam!"
