Chapter 87 The Evil Six
Chapter 87 The Evil Six
Chapter 87 The Evil Six (4k8)
"You're crazy."
"I'm not crazy!"
"In my opinion, you're just crazy."
"Is there a problem with that? He's spying on me, so can't I spy on him in return?"
inside the room.
Peter is talking to Oz.
After returning home, he told Oz about his request.
That was his plan to counter-surveillance the hunter Craven.
Oz tilted his head, indicating his incomprehension.
"You need to understand that even if people don't know you inside and out, they at least have their own understanding of you."
Oz's wing touched Peter's head, but the latter swatted it away unhappily. However, remembering that he was asking the bird for a favor, he obediently put Oz's wing on his head and let the crow stroke him.
"And you—my little brat, you know absolutely nothing about him, yet you're thinking of barging into his lair?"
Peter felt a wing poke his cheek and mumbled, "I still have you, don't I..."
"
Ya Ya was stunned for a moment.
After a moment, Crow said, "What if I'm not there?"
"Then I can only be prepared at all times and make sure everyone around me is careful."
Peter then pleaded, "Oz, if this guy's targeting me, he'll definitely target someone else! If I'm alone, that's fine. I'll wait for him to come looking for me, and I'll make him regret it!"
"But I have them. I have Aunt May, Gwen, Harry, and Dr. Connors."
"If they get hurt because of me, then that becomes my problem!"
"6
'
Oz remained silent, only gently stroking Peter's head.
Peter, on the other hand, felt something was amiss. He vaguely remembered how comfortable it used to feel when Oz's feathers brushed against his face.
Unlike now, there's always this inexplicable feeling.
It's like... it's like having no feathers?
Peter examined Oz's fur closely.
Just like when I first met Oz, it was pitch black, smooth and shiny, and I could even see the moonlight reflected from the window.
Oz spoke up, "Apart from May, everyone else is capable of protecting themselves. Why are you worried?"
Peter shook his head, and the feathers brushed against his face from side to side.
He said, "These are two different things. I shouldn't cause them trouble."
"That guy's target is me, so I have to make sure he keeps his eyes on me the whole time. If it affects other people, then it's my problem."
Oz rolled his eyes in disbelief.
The little spider that was "raised by its own family" is truly kind.
If this were set in an Eastern context, he would probably have achieved a high rank and ascended to a higher position on the spot, instead of suffering various setbacks due to the manipulation of a group of screenwriters.
Ya Ya sighed, "Alright, Uncle Ao agrees. Consider this your last lesson."
Peter tilted his head slightly, somewhat puzzled: "What do you mean by 'the last lesson'?"
Trust your friends.
Peter didn't understand Oz's specific meaning, but he saw that Crow had agreed to his request.
He quickly put on the spider mask, then checked his web-shooter again to make sure there were no problems.
Spider-Man asked, "Shall we begin?"
"Let's go."
boom!
The terrifying metal helmet head was pressed firmly to the ground by a large hand, unable to move.
"You know Spider-Man?"
Seeing that he had taken down this show-off in one move, Craven couldn't contain his doubts and asked a question.
He tried to lift his head in horror, but couldn't. He felt as if a mountain was pressing down on him, and if the guy exerted even a little force...
He was certain that his head would be completely crushed by that hand!
"I don't know her!" The voice, though weak, was filled with a chilling yet ruthless tone.
""
Craven released his grip and stood up.
My interest vanished instantly.
He didn't understand.
Why would Spider-Man, who can fight a lizard monster, waste his time on such trash?
The force of that punch that landed on the lizardman was clearly immense.
How come when it comes to horror... it's all about...
Ah, forget it.
Craven glanced at the horrified man lying on the ground with an expression of disdain, and said, "I thought you were a good teammate, but now I realize I was overthinking it."
"6
'
Startled, he scrambled to his feet, his gaze fixed on the tooth necklace hanging on the other person's chest.
"So you want me to help you hunt down Spider-Man?"
"Help?" Craven shook his head. "I don't think you're qualified."
Ugh, it's really unpleasant to feel looked down upon.
Comparing the person in front of me to that talkative Spider-Man, I was suddenly struck by a chilling realization and longed for the little spider's goodness.
At least the latter would admire their own intelligence, wouldn't they?
And this guy...
He was big and burly, with broad shoulders and a thick waist, exuding a wild aura. It was so intimidating that one might even suspect that his brain was full of muscles.
"I'm not saying anything nice about Spider-Man, but I know he's a kind-hearted idiot."
He said in horror, "Every time he throws a punch, I can clearly feel him pulling back his strength."
"Compared to your fist, I think that with that kind of strength alone, you probably won't get the upper hand against him."
To his surprise, the man in front of him nodded in agreement.
"You're right."
Craven started walking outside, then looked back at Horror, gesturing for him to follow.
Terrified, she didn't know where he wanted to take her, but considering that she was half-dead on his turf, she eventually followed him.
As you walk through the corridor, you can see expensive portraits hanging on the walls, and the exquisitely carved decorations all demonstrate the wealth of the building's owner.
"You look like a descendant of some nobleman," the intrigued voice asked.
He didn't expect the other party to answer; it was just a casual question.
Craven glanced at him indifferently and said nothing.
The horror was pointless, so he shrugged.
After walking a few more steps, Craven stopped in front of a door.
He then pushed open the door, revealing the scene behind it.
It looked like some kind of dinner party, and I was horrified to see two people I recognized but didn't know well behind the door.
"It was you guys... "
'
"Damn it, that demon, Dr. Dara, horrifying... they really were targeted by this guy!"
Spider-Man hid in the old ventilation duct, looking down at several figures.
After being taken by Oz to this castle, which is at least several hundred miles away from New York City.
Spider-Man then began his counter-surveillance plan.
The castle was teeming with well-equipped hunters, and if it weren't for my extraordinary spider abilities, I probably wouldn't have lasted long before the guards discovered me.
Oz, like a catfish, slipped and slid up to Spider-Man's side.
"So what are you planning to do? Just charge down and wipe them all out?"
Why would I do that?
Spider-Man tilts his head: "I know what I'm doing today is risky, but I'm just here to gather intelligence!"
"In other words, I'm as calm as a bull right now!"
"You're quite proud of yourself," Oz chuckled twice.
Spider-Man scratched his face a little embarrassedly.
He knew what his actions at that moment meant.
He also understood what Oz had said before bringing him here.
Trust your friends.
Tonight's behavior can be described as a complete lack of trust in teammates.
He faced unknown dangers alone.
If they found out, Spider-Man was certain he'd be scolded so badly he'd end up in the hospital!
But he also had something to say.
He just didn't want to affect the people around him by being targeted by danger.
If possible, or rather, once we have a clear understanding of these people in the future.
He would then resolve the matter without hesitation and prevent these dangers from arising in advance.
While I was lost in thought, Craven's distinctive Eastern European accent began to ring out from below.
"It took me a lot of time and money to bring you all together."
Craven looked at the other two, Dara and a much younger Mikan.
"Of course, none of that matters. What matters is that you have all been defeated by Spider-Man."
"I believe you all know what failure tastes like."
"It's very uncomfortable; it constantly reminds you of how things fell apart just when the plan was about to be completed."
At this point, Craven paused, then whistled towards the door.
The door was pushed open.
Several of his men delivered the serum that could turn Dara into a lizardman, and the flying skateboard that McCann used when he was a demon.
Craven first looked at the dark-skinned Dara and said, "The lizard serum extracted from your blood is even more effective than before."
He then glanced at McCann: "And as for your flying skateboard, I had one rebuilt. I believe you should be satisfied."
As for the horror aspect... he was too lazy to even mention it anymore.
"Now the opportunity has returned to your hands."
"Join me, and hunt Spider-Man."
"6
""
Of the group, McCann was the one who reacted immediately.
He first put on the demon mask in front of him.
It must be said that this man, who exudes a wildness, is very meticulous in his work; he even prepared the uniform he used to wear.
The demon spoke up, "I don't think your hunt will succeed..."
'
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt a gaze as sharp as a knife.
The evil spirits didn't react much to this.
He chuckled, got up, and went behind his former subordinate, Dara, placing his hands on Dara's shoulders.
"Don't get angry yet, Leo."
Dara twisted his shoulder unhappily, trying to get rid of the demon's grasp.
But before he transformed into a lizardman, he wasn't very strong and couldn't break free from the demon's hands, which had enhanced his physical abilities.
The demon rubbed Dara's shoulders as if two old friends were giving him a massage.
The demon laughed, "You need to understand, this guy can't completely transform into a lizardman. One dose of healing serum will completely revert him to his original form."
"And he..."
'
The demon looked at the horrified figure and asked, "What use is he?"
"Hey?!"
Jing Song felt annoyed. He could accept being looked down upon by Craven, since he couldn't beat him anyway.
You damn fool, you've never even fought yourself, so why do you look down on yourself?!
He yelled in horror, "If you've got the guts, let's go outside and fight!"
"I'm not fighting you!"
The demon shrugged and rolled its eyes.
He looks absolutely infuriating! Without the mask, he looks like a completely different person compared to when he's wearing one!
The demon cast a glance at Craven, who had remained silent. Craven met the demon's gaze calmly, seemingly waiting for the demon to speak next.
"Look, a half-lizard, a Tigger, and you and me. Although I don't know what your abilities are, there's more than one Spider-Man in New York City."
The demon's tone carried a hint of grievance, "In this situation, I'm afraid I'll be back in prison soon. If I'm lucky, we might even be roommates."
"6
'
Craven laughed upon hearing this, "I love it when you point out these problems, honestly, I love it!"
"What's wrong?"
"As a hunter, meticulous planning is the key to a successful hunt, so I understand what you mean perfectly well."
"Yeah?"
Watching the two of them hit it off like old friends, the horror hidden under the helmet couldn't help but twitch at the corner of his mouth.
Then, the next second, he suddenly felt someone bump into him.
Looking back.
"Damn it!"
Startled, he quickly took several steps back.
Two figures walked in through the open door.
A figure was exceptionally tall, its entire body covered in stone-gray, with sharp rhinoceros horns standing on its head, making it look like a giant beast stuffed into human skin.
I was horrified to know that this guy's arms were as thick as my whole body!
Then another figure appeared, who was relatively thin, but only compared to the rhinoceros-man.
He resembled a humanoid weapon, his entire body covered in dark green armor, his helmet completely encasing his head, and his double eyelids gleaming with a scarlet light.
Behind it, there was a scorpion tail, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue, turning eerily.
"See, I know what you're worried about, you devil."
Craven opened his arms to welcome the rhinoceros and the scorpion.
"You're worried that Spider-Man has a lot of friends, and that our hunt will fail."
"It's okay, I understand."
A sickly smile appeared on Craven's face: "Because I have friends too."
Let me introduce myself to you.
He pointed to the gray figure, which was even more imposing than himself: "Rhino Man."
Then he pointed to the green figure: "Scorpion."
"So you see, I've put extra effort into this Spider-Man hunt."
Snapped!
The evil spirit clasped its hands together, making a loud slapping sound.
"I went to a fun party!"
Craven looked at the taciturn Dara.
"I...I don't think I have a chance to refuse..."
'
He picked up the lizard serum in front of him and shook it.
Finally, Craven's gaze fell upon horror.
To be honest, he didn't really want to go. The fact that this guy was scared by rhinos and scorpions was enough to prove his weakness.
He felt that everyone's eyes were focused on him.
The sudden tension and suspense created a sense of unease.
He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "So you're planning to kill Spider-Man?"
But as soon as he finished speaking, he cursed himself for being incredibly stupid!
Hunting, hunting, isn't it just the hunter killing the prey?!
What kind of question is this?!
Craven's face showed a rare look of confusion.
"You really don't know Spider-Man?"
"...I...I really don't know him, but I think maybe teaching him a lesson is enough; there's no need to kill him..."
Thriller finally revealed his true thoughts.
"He's a kind-hearted fool."
"6
'
These words silenced the other five people.
A deathly silence.
"Uh... okay, I'll join. Go ahead and kill then..."
'
Terrified by their gazes, he regretted his own insistence on speaking up!
The demon clapped his hands and laughed: "Look at this little guy, he's become a huge fan of Spider-Man."
"What a pity that the evil six have become a five-man group in the blink of an eye!"
Craven's eyes were cold. He also regretted wasting his time recruiting this thing.
He turned his head.
The rhinoceros-man immediately stepped forward.
Terrified, he tried to activate the vibration device on his arm, only to find that Craven had already turned it off.
He put his hands in front of him, trying to beg for mercy.
"Wait!!! I said I'd join! I can help you hunt Spider-Man! Kill him!"
Terrified, he tried to escape the room, only to find that his back was blocked by Craven's men.
With nowhere to run, he reached out again: "I misspoke, I was wrong!! I'm not Spider-Man's man, I can help you kill him!!!"
The rhinoceros-man grabbed the terrifying creature with his large hand and lifted it up like a chick.
Terrified, he struggled to pat his arms with both hands.
"Please...don't...I know I was wrong."
In an instant.
A playful voice rang out.
"The Evil Five? If you're done with the horror, you still have me. Or how about we just change our name to the Animal Six?"
The red and blue figure, holding a spider web, delivered a flying kick that slammed into the rhinoceros-man's face.
Spider-Man!
'
'
He looked down at the angry shouts that rang out below.
Oz folded his wings together, then leaned his chin over and watched silently.
Ugh!
What could he possibly say?
My little rascal had just said he was as calm as a bull tonight, but the next second he saw something terrifying and his life was in danger, so he went to save him without saying a word.
They didn't care how many people were below.
Anyway, we have to go and rescue them.
Frankly, Spider-Man's move was so stupid that it was on par with the horror story below, falling into the same category of idiocy.
You can scold him for being impulsive, stupid, or out of touch with the times.
But...did he do something wrong?
Oz probably didn't have one.
Because Spider-Man has always been like this.
Just like tonight when Peter asked me to bring him here after we got home.
Because she was afraid that Craven's gaze would affect the people around her, she decided to face it alone.
Can you say he was wrong?
It is possible and it is not.
Just like now.
He never saves people because he is capable of doing so.
It was because he felt he should go and save them.
The boy who once wept while holding a corpse on a cold street always remembered the weight of ability and responsibility.
Ultimately, there's only one reason.
Because he is Spider-Man.
