Chapter 895 - 865
Chapter 895 - 865
The village chief looked at the villagers’ behavior, felt embarrassed for everyone, and directly pulled out a few strong laborers to drive them away.
When Luo Ang came looking, he saw Gu Shili standing among the villagers, his appearance was out of place with the crowd, so he quickly walked over and said, "A nan, what are you doing here?"
"There’s a doctor from the Capital City here offering free consultations. I want her to take a look at me." Gu Shili replied indifferently.
Luo Ang glanced at the young girl treating patients and said, "How old is she? How could she possibly diagnose anyone? The doctors our family hired for you are all renowned physicians."
Despite what Luo Ang said, Gu Shili remained unmoved, merely replying quietly, "You said they were renowned, yet they can’t cure me. Let her take a look; it’s like treating a dead horse as if it were alive."
Luo Ang took another look at Qiao Qiqi, frowned, and stayed silent. He didn’t believe this little girl could truly cure Gu Shili.
So he decided to queue up with Gu Shili.
After about half an hour, it was finally Gu Shili’s turn. The village chief initially wanted to say this person wasn’t from their village, but seeing that the two clearly looked wealthy, he stayed silent.
After Gu Shili sat down, he extended his hand onto the little pillow and said, "Please take a look at me, doctor, and prescribe some medicine while you’re at it."
"What’s your condition?" Qiao Qiqi deliberately avoided looking at him and pretended ignorance.
"I’ve suffered severe head trauma and remember nothing," Gu Shili stated honestly.
Only then did Qiao Qiqi raise her head to look at him, her slender fingers gently placed on his wrist.
Luo Ang wasn’t worried at all because, in his view, this girl was simply an inexperienced little girl and couldn’t possibly diagnose Gu Shili’s condition.
"Alright, I’ll prescribe you medication to pick up, and you should complement it with acupuncture treatment. If you have time, come by every evening." Qiao Qiqi said.
"Thank you, doctor." Gu Shili stood up and went to get his prescription filled.
Luo Ang wanted to follow, but Qiao Qiqi said, "I think sir doesn’t look well. Let me take a look. Please sit down."
"I’m not sick." Luo Ang frowned, looking at the beautiful girl in front of him, feeling an ominous premonition.
He wanted to leave but was stopped by Qiao Qiqi, who said, "If you’re not sick, why queue up? Or are you here to cause trouble?"
Luo Ang nervously watched as Gu Shili went into the room to get his medicine, and reached out to push Qiao Qiqi away, but she was quick to counter-push him.
Luo Ang nearly fell to the ground.
"Village Chief, this person is here to make trouble, not for treatment!" Qiao Qiqi said, after which the village chief and a few village officials immediately surrounded Luo Ang, along with the other villagers.
"Who is this guy anyway? He’s clearly not from our village; what’s he doing stirring up trouble here?"
"That young man just now was here for treatment, but what’s this guy up to?"
"He must be here to scam us for ginseng!"
"Get out of our village; you’re not welcome here!"
Luo Ang was close to being furious. Scam ginseng? What nonsense is this?
Though he knew some martial arts, he couldn’t fight with ordinary villagers, so he was pushed around towards the village border.
"Everyone, it’s a misunderstanding. I know the person who just came for treatment; we’re brothers." Luo Ang had no choice but to relent under the circumstances.
"What brothers, we don’t recognize you. Those seeking treatment are welcome; those not, get out," the village chief immediately ordered.
