The screams rang out again.

Chapter Sixty-Eight: Archbishop Otto's Dirty Deal with Edward
(Archbishop Otto, I'm about to take your cuckold's hat off, come and thank me!)
Chang Yan carried the vegetables home, and as he opened the door and went inside, he heard some noise coming from his bedroom.
(I bet 5 recommendation votes that this was definitely Kiyohime's doing.)
With this in mind, Chang Yan went to his bedroom and knocked on the door.
After the knocking, a rolling sound came from the bedroom.
Immediately, Chang Yan was speechless.
"Kiyohime, is that you? Come out quickly, I'll take you to buy some daily necessities."
After saying a few helpless words, Chang Yan went downstairs.
Meanwhile, Kiyohime was lying on Changyan's bed in the room, her face flushed as she hugged Changyan's blanket.
Oops~ I got caught red-handed.
Kiyohime slowly and reluctantly loosened the blanket and tidied up her clothes, which had been disheveled from rolling around in bed.
"Are you all set? Let's go then."
Looking at Kiyohime, whose complexion was normal, Changyan extended his hand and extended an invitation.
"Yes."
Kiyohime smiled and placed her delicate little hand on Changyan's hand.
The two smiled at each other, took each other's hands, and walked out.
--------------
On the road, many passersby were drawn to Kiyohime's beauty and attire.
A pretty girl wearing a beautiful kimono always attracts attention.
I bought the daily necessities without any problems and returned home without any problems.
No ripples.
Although memory erasure is a big deal, these ordinary citizens have no way to control it.
Go to work and do your job with peace of mind; after all, earning a living is the most important thing.
Perhaps online, they will transform into keyboard warriors or trolls to hurl insults and vent their frustrations.
But once they return to real life, they transform into ordinary office workers, working diligently.
This is the lifestyle of ordinary people.
Or rather, the rules of survival.

In a secluded basement, Edward turned on a monitor, and after some adjustments, it lit up.
The blinding blue light was about to shine on Edward's face, but it was blocked by a barely visible shadow.
Edward suddenly uttered a bunch of incomprehensible words and numbers, and then the screen turned into a video window.
On the other side of the window was a blond man sitting on a throne with a white base and gold stripes.
Greetings, Your Excellency Archbishop.
"Oh my, isn't this Edward? I'm swamped with work here! Do you have any good news to tell me?"
The archbishop slumped lazily on his throne, speaking in a languid tone, while Shou held a glass of wine in his hand, showing no signs of being overwhelmed.
Of course, Edward knew that the person in front of him could no longer be considered human.
He hasn't practiced any martial arts or magic, and has no special abilities, yet he's lived for hundreds of years. Who knows what he is now?
"Of course, Your Excellency Archbishop. Rather, it's two pieces of wonderful news."
"Oh? Huge good news? Interesting, tell me about it."
This seemed to have piqued the archbishop's interest, and his tone changed somewhat.
"The first piece of good news is that my memory has not been erased, because God has covered me."
"That's really good news. After all, I've investigated many organizations and people, and none of them have that memory, not even computers or paper documents. But tell me the second piece of good news first."
"Then, Your Excellency Archbishop, please prepare yourself mentally. It would be best to take some medicine to calm your heart."
Edward's face broke into a mysterious smile, and he spoke in a fanatical tone.
“I received the knowledge I needed from God, and then I successfully fulfilled my wish—”
"I brought my mother and brother back to life, completely safe and sound!!!!"
"Bah—"
The glass shattered on the ground, spilling its bright red wine, which resembled flowers made of blood, reflecting the turmoil in its owner's heart.
"What did you say?"
The archbishop showed no sign of laziness whatsoever; his face was pressed tightly against the screen, his expression filled with madness.
“Yes, you heard me right, Your Excellency Archbishop. If you don’t believe me, I can show you my family. Mother! Brother! Come here!”
Then, two figures appeared on the screen, interacted with the family for a while, and then asked them to go back up and wait for him.
"Perhaps you doubt that I merely found two shapeshifters, but please believe me! My wish is the same as yours, Archbishop Otto!"
Otto had temporarily regained his composure, but the constant rise and fall of his chest revealed his inner turmoil.
“I won’t believe anything without proof. I think you understand how much I hate people who deceive my feelings. You know what happened to them.”
"Of course I know, after all, they were all my research subjects. Here's what we'll do, Your Excellency Archbishop, my current coordinates are [xxx.xxx.xxx]. I think you shouldn't lack these fixed-point teleportation scrolls. I can demonstrate to you directly how I resurrect others, but please note that the price for resurrection is extremely heavy."
"If I could really revive Kallen, I would accept any price! Even if it meant destroying the entire Destiny, I would do it!"
Otto Apocalypse, the current Archbishop of Schicksal. His greatest wish is to resurrect his beloved, Karen Kaslana.
For him, the so-called destiny was just a tool to revive Kallen.
Just like the so-called Honkai. If it weren't for obtaining the secrets of the Herrscher of Death from it in order to resurrect Kallen, he would have already taken out his treasured black technology and smashed the Honkai into a pancake.
This is Otto Apocalypse, who will stop at nothing to resurrect his lover.
"Alright, I do have a few fixed-point teleportation scrolls. What materials do you need?"
Faced with Otto's question, Edward remained silent for a moment, then slowly spoke.
"Miss Karen's body, you should have preserved it well, right?"
It was clearly a question, but it came out as a statement.
"Of course, in order to preserve Karen's body, I caused the sudden deaths of my good father and good brother. Otherwise, how could I have become the archbishop and obtained the funds?"
“Since the body is well preserved, it’s quite simple. Let me explain beforehand: this method involves using a large number of souls to stimulate Miss Karen’s body to resonate, thereby attracting soul fragments, and then using the power of God to reverse time and restore her. However, because I resurrected my family, I’m out of materials. Of course, I’ll also need some other materials as payment, is that alright?”
"It's just a little soul and materials; we can get it quickly."
"It needs to be a vibrant soul."
"It's alright. There are plenty of people in the Destiny Prison anyway. If all else fails, we can just get some. It's that simple."
Otto sat coldly on the throne and, without hesitation, ordered the execution of a large group of people.
Everything, for Karen.

I was dragged out of bed early this morning, still half asleep, and only then did I remember I had to go to sweep another grave. So, this is my last draft!
Resurrection (Sixty-Nine)
"Are the materials ready, Your Excellency Archbishop?"
Edward was drawing some incomprehensible magic circle in a spacious, secret room when he heard footsteps. Without even looking up, he spoke.
He has already arrived at the headquarters of Destiny through the portal.
"Of course it's ready. This is a 1000-person supply of fresh souls, just collected. I even used this highest-level soul-gathering lamp to collect the souls. That should be enough, right?"
Edward took the small, strangely shaped lamp that was glowing softly from Otto's hand, glanced at it for a few moments, and nodded in satisfaction.
"It's more than enough, rather than enough. Now comes the most important step, Your Excellency Archbishop. Please place Miss Karen's body in the center of the magic circle, and leave the rest to me. Rest assured, we have checked this magic circle more than a dozen times, and there will be absolutely no mistakes."
Edward seemed very confident.
"...Let's check it again."
Archbishop Otto is clearly extremely nervous.
"Alright, alright, but if I check it one more time, it'll be the nineteenth time. Fine, whatever makes you happy."
However, Edward had forgotten that when he wanted to resurrect his loved ones, he had checked the magic circle more than twenty times.
Upon further inspection, the conclusion was that the magic circle was flawless.
Otto took a deep breath, trying to calm his agitated heart. But it was to no avail.
Then Otto snapped his fingers.
The floorboards spun around, and a crystal coffin appeared in front of Alto.
Inside the crystal coffin lay a young girl with her eyes closed, quietly surrounded by clusters of white flowers.
Her pure white hair, white clothes, and the white flowers around her made the girl appear so pure and innocent.
Karen Kaslana, the love of Otto's life.
Otto gazed at Karen's sleeping face for a while, then quietly opened the coffin.
Gently and tenderly, the girl's body was lifted up.
As if holding the most precious treasure, Otto carefully walked to the center of the magic circle.
"I'll put a blanket under Karen, is that alright?"
"A regular blanket is fine."
Otto took out a white blanket from his spatial equipment, gently placed it under Karen, and slowly withdrew.
"Well then, Your Excellency Archbishop, I am about to begin the ceremony. Please step back a little."
Words, sacred yet incomprehensible to all, flowed from Edward's lips, and countless eerie lights flickered in this small, madhouse.
The previous scene showed two humans with strange machines strapped to their arms. One of them placed a peculiar card on the machine, and then a ferocious monster appeared between the two of them, baring its fangs and claws.
The next second, several people were gathered together, excitedly talking and throwing dice, occasionally shouting, "Dice Goddess, I love you!"
Chefs who can make food shine
A green-skinned orc is fighting monsters in an arena.
A blue-haired woman was swallowed by a giant frog-shaped dumpling. But for some reason, Otto always felt that the blue-haired woman was a bit silly.
Giant of Light fighting a colossal monster
A fat otaku who's glued to his phone
A young man typing in front of a computer
Countless crazy and unrelated images flashed before Otto's eyes, and mysterious information began to appear in his mind.
