"You're really something, you actually managed to get us out of their pursuit."
Ron shook his head.
"No, we haven't escaped yet. They're still searching for us, but they won't be here anytime soon."
After he finished speaking, he looked around.
"I heard he has a database, and we need to get our hands on it now."
Taiichiro said with a frown.
"But I've heard that thing is heavily guarded. With the two of us, do you think we can get our hands on it?"
Ron said.
"How will you know if you don't try."
After saying that, he took Taiichiro and left the back mountain, starting to walk in another direction.
Although I don't know where the other party's information database is hidden.
However, Ron had previously scouted the area.
He knew of a place that was heavily guarded and where many curses resided.
That kind of place must be where the most valuable things are hidden, so the information database is very likely there.
When they arrived in that area, they found that there were indeed a large number of curses constantly roaming around.
Taiichiro said with some concern.
"Can the two of us break in?"
Ron nodded, and he led Taichiro step by step toward the gate.
Ron said.
“I didn’t know what was hidden in this place before, but now I’ve finally managed to get him to tell me.”
To this day, the curses have not found any trace of Ron and the others; they have been searching everywhere.
The lord cursed, his face contorted with rage.
"These two guys are really troublesome. Once I find them this time, I will definitely kill them immediately to prevent future troubles."
Little did they know that Ron and his group had already quietly arrived at the location of the information database.
Taiichiro looked ahead and said nervously.
"How do we get in now? That place looks heavily guarded, and we're very likely to be discovered by them."
Ron said.
"Look, there seems to be a ventilation opening up there. Maybe we can go in from there."
"But how can we climb onto this roof? We can't even get close to it right now."
Ron looked around and saw several towering trees not far away.
Ron said.
“We can get down from that tree.”
Taiichiro looked at the tree and said nervously.
"But it's very risky to go down from here; we might not be able to land on that roof."
Ron patted Taichiro on the shoulder.
"At this point, we have no choice but to give it a try."
After saying that, they rushed to the tree.
That huge tree looked quite old; its trunk required six people to encircle it.
They climbed up the tree roots until they reached the top, where they could see the ventilation shaft.
Ron said.
"Now, let's jump together."
Taiichiro was still very nervous; he had already drawn his twin swords.
At Ron's command, the two of them immediately jumped toward the ventilation shaft.
The ventilation opening is some distance away from here.
But they are not ordinary people, so their jumping ability is amazing.
A moment later they all jumped onto the ventilation shaft, and Taiichiro breathed a sigh of relief.
"I thought it would be very difficult, but I didn't expect to jump over it."
Ron patted Taichiro on the shoulder.
"Let's go down now."
They looked down through the ventilation opening, but couldn't see what was happening below.
The vent is crooked and has several bends.
As they jumped, they landed at the bend in the road with a loud thud.
Ron held his breath, listening carefully to the sounds around him, but it seemed that no curse sensed anything.
He breathed a sigh of relief and continued to tiptoe forward.
After passing through the ventilation shaft, we finally arrived at the rooftop.
However, it now appears that the entire roof is crisscrossed, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact location.
Ron said.
“We have to get down here, but there’s no way out. We have to create one ourselves.”
Taiichiro stared at Ron in surprise.
“Create an exit? What should we do? If we make a big commotion, we might attract those curses.”
Ron shook his head. He borrowed a very sharp knife from Taiichiro and then pointed to a curtain not far away.
They quickly drew a passage on the curtain and entered the room without any trouble.
Ron and the others breathed a sigh of relief, but the most crucial moment had only just begun.
What they need to do is find the other party's information database and learn everything about this town.
Just then, the sound of the lord's curse rang out from outside.
He seemed to be inquiring about the curses outside and the situation here.
Ron carefully felt his way down the pipe.
He finally landed on the ground, and the solid ground beneath his feet gave Ron a sense of security.
He looked around, but did not see the so-called database.
There seemed to be a sword lying not far away.
Although Ron didn't know what kind of sword it was, he felt a sense of unease when he arrived there.
That thing seemed to have formed some kind of connection with him.
Ron was surprised and quickly went to the sword.
The sword gleamed faintly; even without light, it still radiated a soft glow.
Ron felt that this sword must have a remarkable history.
Taiichiro came up to Ron and saw the sword. He looked surprised and said...
"This sword looks somewhat familiar; I remember seeing it somewhere before."
Ron was deeply surprised, he said.
"What kind of sword is this? It looks very sharp."
Taiichiro shook his head. Although he had indeed seen this wave of swords before, it had been so long that he couldn't remember it clearly at all.
He could only sense that the sword was very familiar, he said.
"Now that we're here, we might as well take this sword with us."
Ron thought for a moment and then nodded. He reached out and moved the glass cabinet on top.
Just as he reached out to pick up the sword, it suddenly began to tremble.
This surprised Ron. Could the sword sense his presence?
So he reached out again and pressed down hard on the sword, making the blade tremble even more violently.
Ron could feel the sword's resistance, and he asked in surprise.
"What's wrong with this sword? Does it still have any sense?"
Taiichiro also noticed this, and he said in surprise.
"Never mind all that for now, let's get him first."
