Chapter 1265 - 1266: Shouldn’t You Smile When You’re Happy?
Seeing Fabian Holmes in the hospital room, Easton Holmes was not surprised at all, as he had just seen Fabian’s car downstairs.
However, seeing Theodore Holmes in the room was unexpected, and along with the surprise came deep concern. He wasn’t naive enough to think this rascal was here just to visit his wife and baby.
"Mama!"
While the adults were still in shock, little Aiden ran towards Lily Turner lying on the hospital bed, calling out for his mom as he ran.
Seeing the small figure running to the bedside, tears of excitement welled up in Fabian Holmes’s eyes, and as the little figure passed by him, he didn’t hesitate at all to bend down and pick up his little grandson whom he had never met.
"Who are you?" Suddenly being lifted up, little Aiden seemed a bit displeased, but he didn’t demand to be put down. Instead, he asked the stranger with a puzzled face.
Holding the chubby little grandson in his arms, Fabian Holmes couldn’t hide his excitement, "I’m your grandpa."
The little grandson was so cute, just like his son when he was a child.
"What kind of grandpa are you?" Little Aiden tilted his head thoughtfully. His little mind was pondering why there were so many grandpas, and which type this one was.
Little Aiden, being too young, couldn’t call anyone "grandpa" but could only use one word for all. He called Callix Linton "great-grandpa," Aiden Taylor "grand-uncle," and Christopher Turner "grandpa."
Now Fabian Holmes suddenly told Aiden he was his grandpa, which confused him even more, especially since he’d never met Fabian. How could he know that the man holding him was his biological grandpa?
Fabian was unaware of these distinctions and didn’t immediately understand what Aiden meant, looking awkward and unsure how to respond.
Seeing this, Lily quickly spoke up, "Aiden! Call him grandpa."
No matter what happened between the adults, she couldn’t let the negativity extend to the child, as it would affect his mental and physical health. She didn’t want her son to grow up in a state filled with resentment.
"Grandpa!" Although Aiden still hadn’t figured out which grandpa this was, hearing his mom telling him to call him grandpa, he had no choice but to obey.
Hearing his little grandson call him grandpa, Fabian could no longer hold back his tears of excitement; the tears he’d held in his eyes flowed out instantly. "Grandpa’s little sweetheart."
Holding little Aiden tightly, he leaned in to give him a kiss.
"Grandpa! Why are you crying?" Little Aiden saw the tears on Fabian’s face and raised his small hand to wipe them away.
Hearing little Aiden’s words, everyone else in the room looked at Fabian. Being seen crying, he didn’t feel embarrassed at all, because now his eyes were only on little Aiden.
"Grandpa is just too happy to see you." The little grandson was so considerate, even wiping his tears; Fabian adored him immensely.
"Isn’t happiness supposed to make you smile?" Little Aiden was puzzled, furrowing his little brows at Fabian, looking confused. In his little mind, crying meant not being happy.
Asked this way by little Aiden, Fabian laughed instantly, using one hand to wipe away his tears. "Yes! Grandpa should be smiling now."
Looking at little Aiden in his arms, the more he looked, the more he thought this little guy was adorable, the more he liked him.
