Brad walked over, a smile returning to his face, as if the unpleasantness from before had never happened.
"Alright, we're safe for now. Where to go next?"
Chad and Jamal also approached, but clearly kept a certain distance from Su Hui, their eyes filled with wariness.
“We need to find a safe place to settle down,” Jamal said. (The remaining text appears to be gibberish and unrelated to the preceding sentence.)
"Ideally, it should be a place with food and water."
Stacy added quietly that she was starving.
"I know a place, the girls' dormitory!"
Brad's eyes flickered, and he suggested, "It's not far from here, and dormitories are usually quite strictly managed, so zombies shouldn't have a hard time getting in. There are definitely vending machines inside, and maybe even some snacks that the girls have stockpiled!"
"To get there, you have to cross that big lawn in the middle; it's so spacious."
Jamal frowned.
Brad shook his head and pointed to the side: "Over there, there's a tree-lined path on the left. It's a bit roundabout, but with the trees providing cover, it's safer."
Chad's eyes lit up when he heard this, and Jamal also thought it was a good suggestion.
Harley looked at Su Hui, waiting for his decision.
Su Hui thought about it and realized that the girls' dormitory was indeed an option.
It's close by, relatively enclosed, and may contain supplies.
But a large number of people also means chaos and potential danger.
He didn't trust Brad and his group.
However, there is nowhere better to go at the moment.
Finding a place to settle down, recovering strength, and improving one's abilities are the most important things.
"Let's go then."
Su Hui's words were concise and to the point.
The group of six, under the cover of night, quickly crossed the edge of the lawn and stealthily made their way to the dark, shady path on the left.
In the distance, the city was ablaze with flames, illuminating half the night sky.
The faint sounds of gunfire, explosions, desperate screams of humans, and inhuman roars of monsters intertwined to create a symphony of the apocalypse, constantly echoing from all directions.
The air was thick with the smells of gunpowder, blood, and some indescribable stench.
The road beneath my feet was littered with all sorts of debris: overturned bicycles, broken glass, scattered books, and... mutilated corpses.
A few scattered zombies wandered in the darkness, emitting hoarse roars.
Stacy trembled with fear and clung tightly to Brad's arm.
Chad, Brad, and Jamal gripped the weapons they had found on the spot—crowbars, baseball bats, and the like—with tense expressions.
Su Hui walked at the front, his expression cold and stern.
He ignored the people behind him, his attention highly focused.
His goal was clear: to reach the girls' dormitory as soon as possible, and at the same time, hunt down as many zombies as possible to gain experience and [Source Crystal Particles].
He must improve his strength as soon as possible.
In this cannibalistic world, only strength is the sole guarantee of survival.
Roar! "
A female zombie wearing a shirt and hot pants suddenly pounced out of the roadside bushes, her target being Su Hui, who was walking at the front.
Chad and the others were startled and instinctively backed away.
Su Hui stepped forward, and his right hand wielded a simple spear that, like a venomous snake emerging from its hole, precisely pierced the zombie's eye socket.
"Pfft!"
-95hp!
The zombie fell to the ground.
[Experience points gained: 10]
Su Hui remained expressionless, and with a thought, he put the [Source Crystal Particle] into his backpack.
The whole process was smooth and efficient, taking only a few seconds.
Brad, Chad, and Jamal were all stunned.
This guy... is amazing!
They never expected Su Hui to be so agile, killing zombies without any mercy, as easily as chopping melons and vegetables!
Chad felt a wave of fear wash over him.
Luckily, I didn't actually do anything in the bathroom, otherwise I might already be...
Su Hui ignored their shock.
In this damned apocalypse, only strength is the only guarantee!
He could sense that Brad and his group harbored ill intentions towards him.
If I show any weakness, they will definitely pounce on me without hesitation.
Therefore, he must demonstrate sufficient strength to make them wary!
Keep going.
We encountered a few more scattered zombies along the way.
Su Hui took the initiative to resolve each issue.
Brad and his two companions went from initial shock to numbness, and finally, only deep fear remained.
This Asian kid is a killing machine!
Harley silently followed behind Su Hui, watching his tall and cold back, her heart filled with complex emotions.
There is fear, there is dependence, and there is also a sense of security that is hard to describe.
"Pfft!"
Another zombie fell to Su Hui's spear.
[Level Up! Current Level: lv 2 (0/200)]
[Gained 3 free attribute points]
Su Hui continued to increase his constitution, raising it to 15 points.
In the early stages of survival, Su Hui decided to raise his health to 200 points first.
Safety is the most important thing.
Based on his understanding of the game, something might happen when he reaches level ten.
Looking at the 150 health points.
Su Hui felt more confident.
at last!
The group proceeded cautiously until the girls' dormitory came into view.
The dormitory building's main gate was tightly shut, and the glass door was covered with dark red bloodstains and blurry handprints.
Backpacks, clothes, and several mutilated corpses were scattered on the ground around them.
The air was filled with a strong smell of blood.
It looks like a fierce battle took place here as well.

5. Quiet dormitory building
"How do we get in?"
Stacy asked in a low voice, her voice trembling.
Brad looked around.
"The main entrance is definitely out of the question; there might still be zombies inside. Let's look for any open windows or other entrances."
The group split up and carefully searched along the outer wall of the dormitory building.
Su Hui's gaze fell on a window on the first floor of the side of the dormitory building.
The windowpane was broken, and the curtains swayed slightly in the wind.
"This way."
Su Hui said in a low voice.
The group immediately moved in the direction Su Hui indicated.
The window was on the first floor, the glass was completely shattered, with sharp shards remaining at the edges, and the dark curtains were torn and tattered, fluttering gently in the night wind like a tattered flag.
Below the window were some trampled bushes, leaving an indistinct path.
Su Hui did not approach immediately. He raised his hand to signal the others to stop, while he gripped his spear tightly, tiptoed, and carefully approached the window.
He listened intently; the dormitory building was deathly silent, with no roars of zombies or cries for help from survivors.
Only the mournful sound of the wind blowing through the broken windows could be heard.
It's so quiet.
Su Hui frowned slightly; the silence had an unsettling, eerie quality to it.
He peeked out and quickly scanned the inside of the window.
Inside, it appeared to be an ordinary girls' dormitory room. The lighting was dim, and all that could be seen were messy beds and scattered items on the floor. A faint smell of blood and a hint of dust filled the air.
The danger was not immediately detected.
"Safe," Su Hui said in a low voice. He then carefully used his spear to part the curtains, and after confirming that there was no ambush, he was the first to climb inside.
His movements were light and agile, and he landed silently.
Harley followed closely behind, and although she was a bit disheveled, she managed to get in smoothly.
Next up was Stacy, with Brad lending a hand from behind.
Finally, there are Chad and Jamal.
All six people entered the dimly lit dormitory.
The room was small, a typical American double room, and was in a mess at the moment.
The blankets were overturned on the floor, clothes were scattered everywhere, and many cosmetics on the table were broken, mixed with a small amount of dried dark red blood. The air was filled with a strange smell of blood, dust and some kind of perfume.
"Phew... I'm finally in."
Brad let out a long sigh of relief, his tense nerves relaxing slightly.
Chad and Jamal visibly relaxed and began to look around the room, seemingly searching for something useful.
Stacy clung tightly to Brad, her face still deathly pale, looking around in terror.
Only Su Hui remained highly vigilant.
He didn't relax; his sharp eyes quickly scanned every corner of the room before he walked to the half-open door and listened intently to the sounds outside.
The corridor was equally silent.
This silence, however, only intensified Su Hui's unease.
Logically, the dormitory buildings are densely populated at night, and the situation should be extremely chaotic when the apocalypse breaks out, with a significant number of zombies.
Even if the battle is over, there should be plenty of traces left behind, or zombies roaming around.
But now, apart from the bloodstains and corpses seen upon entering, and a small amount of bloodstains in this room, the entire building is as quiet as a tomb.
It's so unreasonable.
"There doesn't seem to be any sound outside."
