Among those hordes of ordinary zombies surging wildly, there seemed to be something... a little different.
They are faster, move more strangely, and some even have distorted shapes, unlike humans that have mutated.
These monsters have eerie gray-black skin, some covered in thick pus, others with jagged bone spurs, and some even with bizarre deformities in their limbs, like creations from a nightmare.
Thinking back to the information he received when he first acquired the system.
Su Hui thought of a possibility.
Dimensional monster!
These creatures are extradimensional beings that invaded this world from the torn rifts in space as the apocalypse arrived!
obviously.
They are stronger than ordinary zombies!
Unfortunately, it seems that the system's [scan] function was unable to obtain specific data about these guys because of the distance.
But you can tell just by looking at the speed and strength these monsters exhibit.
Very strong,
It's at least stronger than the Lickers Su Hui encountered.
The threat of doomsday
It is appearing in more diverse forms.
Just then,
Su Hui's gaze involuntarily drifted to the roof of the laboratory building.
His spirit transmitted a sense of awareness.
A strange, faint sense of attraction came from that direction again.
There seemed to be something on it that was attracting him.
This feeling is very subtle.
Su Hui couldn't explain it either; perhaps it was because his mental attributes had improved that he could feel it.
And because of his location, he could only see that one side of the roof of the experimental building seemed to have collapsed, but he didn't know why.
In just this short moment.
The dozen or so survivors from before are almost all dead now.
Besides the few Black people, several others who reacted quickly returned to the laboratory building.
The rest became food for the zombies.
Limbs and severed arms were scattered all over the ground.
After their feast, the strangely shaped dimensional monsters, for some unknown reason, did not enter the experimental building. Instead, they slowly dispersed and disappeared into the shadows of the building.
Only a large number of ordinary zombies remained, still lingering near the experimental building, attracted by the strong smell of blood.
The situation in the laboratory building was strange in every way.
Regardless of who the survivors were, or the magical feeling that attracted Su Hui, both made him somewhat wary.
But in the end, Su Hui still decided to go into the experimental building to explore.
Because no matter what, he will inevitably have to leave this place, no matter how strong he is, the dangers of the apocalypse will always exist.
Compared to the arduous struggle for survival of ordinary survivors.
With the system at his disposal, his growth rate is undoubtedly unimaginable!
Moreover, with Harley as a support, the dangers should be manageable in the early stages of the apocalypse.
Exploring the medical laboratory building is not only about the unknown allure of the rooftop, but also about the high-value resources such as medicines and equipment that may be found inside.
So the next time.
Su Hui observed the number and distribution of the zombies while also keeping an eye on the activity inside the experimental building.
"Honey, shall we go down and explore now?"
Harley tilted her head, tapping her baseball bat lightly against her shoulder, her tone as casual as if she were asking what to eat for dinner.
Su Hui shook his head, his gaze still fixed on the building shrouded in gloom in the distance.
"Not urgent."
His voice was steady.
"Going there now would be too conspicuous."
Su Hui's gaze was sharp as he calmly surveyed the distant medical laboratory building and the dense horde of corpses surrounding it.
There are at least several hundred zombies roaming outside; charging in would inevitably trigger a large-scale attack.
Moreover, there was a group of survivors in the building who had just experienced infighting and were filled with fear.
These people are now like frightened birds; no one knows whether they are armed or not, and their sudden appearance could easily trigger unnecessary conflict.
During the day, with a wide field of vision, his and Harley's rash actions would be too conspicuous.
"Wait until it gets dark."
Su Hui made a decision: "Let's use the cover of night to find a way to sneak in."
"Oh~ Want to play stealth? I like it!"
Harley's eyes lit up, and she clapped her hands excitedly.
Su Hui glanced at her but said nothing more.
He turned around, his long sword pointing deep into the dormitory building.
"Let's go, let's clean up this area one last time before dark."
Upgrading, collecting source crystals, and familiarizing yourself with new weapons are all necessary preparations.
Harley immediately followed, skipping and hopping beside Su Hui, humming an off-key tune, seemingly full of anticipation for the upcoming "infiltration game".
For the next few hours, the two continued their raid on the girls' dormitory area.
The snow keeps falling. The plum blossoms yearn for me, but I haven't thought of them...
Fine snowflakes continued to fall, covering the city, which should have been hot, with a thin, eerie layer of white frost.
The air is getting colder.
Time passes slowly.
The leaden-gray sky was gradually replaced by inky black.
As the last ray of light disappeared below the horizon, night completely enveloped the campus.
The cold wind whistled through the snow.
The howls of the zombies seemed to grow clearer and more eerie in the darkness of the night.
"Let's go."
Su Hui glanced out the window and said in a low voice.
Harley gripped her "Goodnight" baseball bat with excitement.
The two left the dormitory building, their figures quickly disappearing into the deep night.
Under the cover of the buildings and the darkness, they moved silently toward the medical laboratory building like two ghosts.
Su Hui walked ahead, holding the [Steel-Cutting] longsword in his hand. The dark silver blade gleamed coldly in the occasional moonlight.
The two carefully avoided areas densely populated with zombies, choosing instead to pass through dark corners and gaps in buildings.
Occasionally, a few stray zombies would emerge from the shadows, trying to get closer.
Before they could even roar, Su Hui's longsword had already slashed across them with pinpoint accuracy.
Or Harley's baseball bat might fall silently.
puff.
A dull thud.
There was almost no extra sound.
The two worked together seamlessly, quickly eliminating the few zombies they encountered along the way without arousing any widespread alarm.
We are getting closer and closer to the medical laboratory building.
The stench of blood in the air grew stronger.
A large number of zombies still lingered near the entrance of the laboratory building.
They wandered aimlessly, drawn by the bloody smell of the daytime, lingering there for a long time.
There are at least several hundred left.
It would be virtually impossible to slip silently through the horde of corpses and enter the building.
Su Hui stopped and observed the distribution of the zombies.
He needs an opportunity.
An opportunity to rush through this area as quickly as possible and reduce the time spent being besieged.
“Harley, stay close to me.”
Su Hui said in a low voice.
"Ok!"
Harley nodded vigorously, her bright blue eyes sparkling in the night, filled with excitement.
Su Hui took a deep breath and squatted down slightly.
The next second, he shot out like an arrow released from a bow.
He moved extremely fast, kicking up snow with his footsteps.
The black tactical jacket fluttered in the night wind.
Harley followed closely behind, her speed even slightly faster than Su Hui's, her golden twin tails leaving two afterimages in the air.
The sudden appearance of the two immediately alerted the horde of zombies loitering at the entrance.
"Ho-ho!"
The sluggish zombies turned around, letting out hoarse roars, and surged towards them.
Su Hui did not linger in the fight.
His target was the entrance to the laboratory building.
He brandished his longsword, displaying the unparalleled sharpness of the [Steel-Cutting] technique.
puff!puff!
Several zombies that got close were immediately decapitated or had their bodies severed.
The blade flashed, like the scythe of death.
Harley is even more agile.
She used her incredible flexibility and speed to weave through the gaps between the zombies.
The baseball bat in his hand whistled through the air as it struck the zombie precisely on the head.
boom!boom!
Heavy, muffled thuds continued to resound.
The two men, like two sharp knives, forcefully tore a path through the dense horde of corpses.
There are too many zombies.
Monsters were swarming in from all directions.
However, the two were extremely fast, and before they could cause a greater disturbance, the door to the laboratory building appeared before them.
It was a heavy glass door, one of which had been shattered in the chaos of the day, leaving only a dark, gaping entrance.
