Chapter Sixty-Six: Interstellar City Mountains - Olympus
The underwater tremors were so intense that they could be felt in the waters surrounding Nemesis Island.
The giant wave rose nearly ten meters into the air. If the Knights of the Round Table hadn't unleashed the true names of their Noble Phantasms and used this attack to cleave the wave, the entire island of Nemesis would have been doomed.
Drake glanced at his companions who were still fighting the remaining Lostbelt Servants and whistled.
"It seems that everyone in Chaldea has successfully broken through Poseidon. That explosion just now... must have been Poseidon, right?"
“No doubt about it.” Jason plopped down on the deck. “It would be ridiculous if someone who could take down Artemis could be taken down by someone like Poseidon.”
“Don’t say that. Poseidon is, after all, a sea god,” Orion laughed heartily. “It will still take some effort.”
Jason glanced at him sideways: "But in that case, Chaldea would have eliminated both Artemis and Poseidon..."
“That can’t be helped.” Orion thought for a moment. “They are gods of the Lostbelt, not the ones I know. Even if I feel regret and sadness, I understand that it was all the right thing to do.”
“Instead of doing that, shouldn’t we lend a hand?” Drake said. “It’s too much trouble for those guys to clean up the mess. Didn’t we agree that if we survived, we would follow in Chaldea’s footsteps?”
She was referring to Chiron and Odysseus, who were still locked in battle with the Knights of the Round Table, and Katniss, who had undergone a Spirit Origin Breakthrough but had been outmaneuvered.
Despite being outnumbered, they fought desperately against the remaining Servants.
“That was the plan all along.” Orion raised his bow, aimed at Chiron, and fired a long-range shot before jumping off the ship again.
Jason snorted: "I'm not going. You've already done enough by dragging me onto the ship and following me all the way here. Anyway, the Chaldea guys are fine without us. Going would just be icing on the cake."
As he spoke, his entire body became covered in blood, revealing the fact that he had been injured and had not yet fully healed.
"Hey... your injury isn't healed yet? Didn't you have that man treat you?" Drake was taken aback.
She was referring to Shiomi.
“I don’t have time to bother that guy,” Jason said nonchalantly. “Just take care of those guys, then let me off the ship and dump me on that Nemesis island.”
"Just leave it anywhere..."
Drake remained noncommittal about Jason's request.
She turned her head and looked towards the Imaginary Tree.
Now that Poseidon, the god of the sea, has been defeated, the Void Cavern is no longer difficult to traverse.
Hopefully, we'll catch a good show; otherwise, ending Chaldea here won't be enough to satisfy our curiosity.
--------
On the other side of the Void Cavern.
"Storm Border, all parts are stable! Damage less than 1%, no problem!"
When the uncontrollable vortex finally subsided, the space around Storm Border suddenly returned to stability, giving the crew members, who had been rocked around in the bridge and cabins, a little time to catch their breath.
Nemo, as a Servant, quickly returned to his post and reported the current situation.
"Teacher...where is Shiomi-sensei?"
Olga Marie and Sakura helped each other to their feet.
Morgan gestured to the screen, indicating that Shiomi had connected the bridge communication.
"I'm fine, but let's take a look outside first." Shiomi's voice rang out. "Atlantis is just the appetizer on this Lostbelt trip. The main event is just beginning."
As he spoke, he climbed up from the side of the ship and returned to the deck.
Shaking off the seawater, Shiojian reached out and wiped her hair, then silently looked up to examine the scene before her.
A colossal object existing on the other side of the 'fabric' that covers the world's oceans.
Without a doubt, that was Olympus, the divine city capable of housing millions of people.
Moving your gaze upwards, you can also see the enormous structures that exist above this vast city.
Above that, there is a crystal-clear mountain range.
And what lies beyond the top of the large crystal?
"Oh? The roots of imagination that extend into the universe... they've certainly nurtured that thing quite well." Morgan's voice sounded from behind.
tide Jian chuckled: "So, you, who once caused the Tree of Imagination to wither, really do want to see this scene with your own eyes, my queen?"
"No, I'm just worried that my husband's clothes are soaked from being in the sea for so long, and he might catch a cold." Morgan held up a large, folded towel. "Shall we put this on?"
“How composed.” Shio took the towel and draped it over herself. “Judging from the perspective of Atlantis, this place should undoubtedly be underground.”
“But in fact, this is the real surface. The entire Atlantis Sea is an illusion,” Shiomi said. “Do you remember the Greek myths I told you before?”
"In the pan-human history, the Greek gods experienced two great wars before the age of man." Morgan placed his palm on Shiomi's back, using magic to ward off the cold.
Even though he doesn't actually need to worry about catching a cold.
“Can you feel it? The concentration of magic in the air here has exceeded that of the Uruk Singularity,” Shiomi said. “It seems that what Demeter said was true; she didn’t lie to me.”
“It seems history took a different turn after the Olympian gods defeated the White Giant.” Morgan nodded, then communicated to the bridge, “Apart from my husband and me, everyone else should take precautions before venturing out. This place is more extreme than Atlantis; the concentration of magic in the air is much higher. Also—”
Before she could finish speaking, her communications were disrupted; after a burst of static, Storm Border's communication lines were completely compromised.
“It’s not a data packet communication from the Wandering Sea, the source of the message is—” Munir exclaimed.
"—The colossal structure before you!"
Romani added.
Then, a deep, resonant voice rang out.
"Fear! Praise! Before your eyes lies the supreme Olympus. It is the true name of the Lostbelt where I reside, and the colossal ark that spans the sea of stars. Kneel down and be grateful. This is the throne of us gods, not something for the insignificant to behold."
Morgan closed his eyes, a displeased expression on his face: "Is this the real god? Just by speaking, there is an oppressive feeling on the scale of a mental attack. Even I feel uncomfortable."
“It’s okay. This level is still much worse than ‘that time’.”
As soon as tide Jian took Morgan's hand, she found that her unpleasant feeling vanished instantly.
"Ha~, since my husband is here, what do I have to fear?"
Morgan looked up, staring intently at the interstellar city-mountain range.
Chapter Sixty-Seven: Zeus Refuses to Communicate
As if sensing this, Shiomi could feel that the source of the voice, whose location was still unknown, had turned its attention to him.
"My name is Zeus, the great god Zeus. From the age of gods to the present day, across the vast ocean, and through the magnificent interstellar cities, I am the king of the Atlantic Lostbelt, who rules over all of this."
The voice announced its name.
For Chaldea, it would be an unexpected answer if the voice did not belong to Zeus.
The omniscient and omnipotent king of the Olympian gods discovered them the instant they entered the Storm Border, and then, with absolute confidence...
“Is that so?” Shio said slowly. “I am the messenger of Odin, the great god who rules the Norse world. Great god Zeus, may we meet?”
Morgan couldn't help but glance at Shiomi, and she saw the chillingly sincere expression on Shiomi's face.
Unlike when he was facing her or his companions, his sincerity was so convincing it was almost indistinguishable from reality.
Her husband was deceiving Zeus, the great god who only showed his will but did not reveal his true form.
Because the enemy's location cannot be seen, one must take advantage of their proactive communication and their extreme confidence in revealing their name to try and lure them out.
"There's no need. Let it fall."
After a few seconds of silence, Zeus rejected Shiomi's suggestion.
A powerful magical reaction instantly struck Storm Border, and Shiomi tightened her grip on Morgan's hand slightly.
"So decisive. Is this the King of Gods?" Morgan murmured, then he and Shiomi reached out and opened a barrier.
Meanwhile, Skadi, who was inside the ship's cabin, immediately activated the barrier spell to its maximum scale upon hearing Zeus announce his name.
What followed was an even more violent lightning storm than the one in the waters off Nemesis Island.
The lightning in the stormy sea is probably less than one percent or even one-thousandth as powerful as the thunder that is about to strike.
“This power…” Shio-mi grinned, “Every strike is on par with Artemis’s Arrow…”
"Master, Mrs. Morgan! We are now preparing to make an emergency landing in the forest four thousand meters below. Please return to the cabin as soon as possible! The Grand Master is helping to maintain the defensive barrier!"
"No need to worry, just make an emergency landing," Morgan replied.
After a brief silence in the communication, Olga Marie replied "Understood," and Storm Border immediately began to accelerate.
The unavoidable lightning bolts that came head-on were blocked by the layers of barriers created by the top magicians.
The warship passed through the divine thunder that sought to annihilate it, heading straight for the forested area in the lower part of the interstellar city mountain range.
The forced landing, which involved a descent of 4000 meters in one go, caused a much greater shock on the deck than inside the ship. It was the first time that Shiomi and Morgan had experienced such an impact. Although they were unharmed, they still lost their balance and rolled around on the deck several times.
Once everything was settled and the barrier that had shielded her from external cognition and perception was lifted, Shiomi, lying on her back, looked at the starry sky and the Crystal Mountains above Olympus and, confirming that Zeus's thunderbolts would not come again, finally breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"Are you alright, Morgan?" He sat up slightly, looking at his wife who was being held in his arms.
“What could possibly happen to me?” Morgan raised his head slowly. “Every time you do a somersault, it’s you adjusting your posture in mid-air and slamming your body against the deck… I’m the one who should be asking that question.”
"It hurts a little, but it's nothing serious." tide Jian helped her sit up, then turned to look at the interstellar city above. "What a decisive god. There's no room for negotiation at all."
"Your deception has been exposed, hasn't it?" Morgan couldn't help but laugh. "If you had chosen to feign surrender, things might have been easier. But you chose to lure them out..."
Before that, Shiomi was probably already considered the most dangerous person in Zeus's eyes.
They shot down Artemis and forced Kirshtalia to retreat.
Even when Aphrodite and Demeter intervened, they were unable to stop or change Chaldea's path forward.
“You’re right…” tide Jian looked like she was just realizing it. “I’ve never thought about surrendering in my life. I almost forgot about this move.”
“But there’s no hope, after all, judging from Odysseus’s previous reaction, Olympus doesn’t intend to consider this possibility at all.” Morgan looked at the interstellar city. “I don’t think the fact that they were able to detect us the moment we entered here is related to the Void Cave being breached.”
“Isn’t it normal for an omniscient and omnipotent Lostbelt King to discover our arrival in his own territory?” Shiomi stroked Morgan’s cheek. “Don’t tell me you can’t do it.”
“It’s still different.” Morgan shook his head. “I can only know that someone has entered Britain. If the other party’s whereabouts are well concealed, or if they have some means that do not require going through the Wall of Light, I will not be able to find out.”
"Alright, alright, don't take it so seriously. I'm just flattering you." Xi Jian smiled helplessly, then helped Morgan up from the deck. "However, Zeus's clear display of his power suggests that he really doesn't want us to get close to the heart of this divine city, which is also his location."
Morgan looked down at Storm Border to confirm the damage from the forced landing. The mountain was still intact. Whether it could set sail again would depend on Captain Nemo's detailed report.
"And soon, our companions who remained in Atlantis will also enter this place through the Void Cavern after they have wiped out the remnants of Olympus. If they cannot hold Zeus back, their arrival will only be a pointless death..."
Morgan subconsciously analyzed the situation, but suddenly froze halfway through his sentence.
She and tide looked at each other blankly.
The two of them were thinking of the same thing.
“If Zeus can discover us just by entering Olympus like this, what about the Servants who entered here as the vanguard before him?” Shiomi frowned. “How many of them could withstand Zeus’s thunder, and how many survived?”
“In any case, preliminary investigation is necessary,” Scáthach’s voice rang out. “Just like in the Nordic region, most people will stay behind, led by my beloved student, while a few will go out to carry out the mission.”
"Master..."
Shiomi looked at Scáthach and nodded deeply.
Fortunately, compared to the time in Northern Europe, the available combat power on Chaldea, or rather on Storm Border, is no longer a concern.
"It seems we're all on the same page. I also think it's a good idea. But before that, there's one more issue to resolve," Morgan said.
"What?" tide Jian was caught off guard.
Morgan looked at him and chuckled softly: "My husband, go take a shower and change into some dry clothes first, then we can consider our next course of action."
"...Oh right..."
tide Jian was speechless for a long time, but felt that what he said made a lot of sense.
Chapter Sixty-Eight: The Meeting of the Hidden Ones
"It failed."
Inside the Hermits' meeting room in Kirchtaria, Peperoncino started the conversation.
That being said, including Debit who communicates remotely, there are still four Hidden Ones left.
"..." Hinako glanced at Peperoncino in silence. Sitting in her chair, she had no intention of speaking, but the irritation on her face revealed her current mood.
Peperoncino's failure refers to Zeus's plan to summon thunderbolts to attack the StormBorder of Chaldea and annihilate it the moment it entered Olympus.
"Even the omniscient and omnipotent Olympian God-King couldn't defeat Chaldea?" Debit commented. "Kirshtalia, it's not too late. Let me take my Servants to your Lostbelt. Now that things have come to this—"
