Chapter 406: Gear Fourth is no match for Kizaru.
Chapter 406: Gear Fourth is no match for Kizaru.
Luffy discovered that Gear Fourth was no match for Kizaru. Kizaru's attacks rained down on Luffy, who was forced to retreat.
"Damn it!" Luffy roared and activated Gear Fifth without hesitation.
In Gear Fifth, Luffy's body became enormous, his muscles bulged, and his strength was greatly enhanced. He engaged in a thrilling battle with Kizaru, the two exchanging blows without giving an inch.
However, just as the battle reached its climax, a mysterious figure suddenly appeared on the battlefield.
"Kizaru, you have disappointed me greatly." The newcomer was none other than Jaigorusia Satan, one of the Five Elders.
Facing this powerful enemy, Luffy was fearless and unleashed his signature move, "Gum-Gum White Star Gun." This powerful attack sent Kizaru flying and rendered him immobile.
However, Luffy's Gear Fifth form reached its limit, and his body began to gradually shrink, eventually returning to its original size. Luffy, having exhausted his power, also began to fall.
Just as Luffy was about to land, he quickly pulled a piece of meat out of his pocket and began to chew it.
"Wow, this is delicious!" Luffy ate the meat while feeling his strength returning.
In the blink of an eye, Luffy's stamina and Gear Fifth form were fully restored. He charged towards Kizaru with astonishing speed and knocked him down with a single punch.
"We did it!" Luffy shouted excitedly.
Just then, Bonney and the others were about to be attacked by Kizaru when Luffy's timely appearance saved their lives.
"Luffy, you're amazing!" Bonney exclaimed excitedly.
To demonstrate his power to Bonney, Luffy also randomly attacked and sent Jaigollucia Satan flying.
"Haha, this is my strength!" Luffy laughed triumphantly.
Bonney and the others then took the opportunity to retreat, while Sanji stayed behind to protect the injured Vegapunk and continue fighting Kizaru.
Surprisingly, Satan was not knocked down by Luffy's fierce attack as expected. He recovered at an astonishing speed and returned to the battlefield without hesitation, demonstrating his extraordinary endurance and recovery ability.
Meanwhile, Sanji was tightly holding the injured Vegapunk, struggling to fend off Kizaru's relentless attacks. Despite the extremely critical situation, Sanji did not give up; he fought with all his might to protect Vegapunk while also dealing with Kizaru's fierce onslaught.
Luffy, facing the combined attack of Satan and Kizaru alone, fearlessly met this double challenge. Using all his strength, Luffy slapped Satan and Kizaru flat and tossed them away like trash. This series of attacks severely injured Kizaru, rendering him unable to fight any longer.
However, although Saint Satan was also hit hard by Luffy, he managed to stand up again in a short time thanks to his powerful regenerative abilities. Moreover, he seemed completely unfazed by Luffy's attack, instead appearing even more ferocious and resolute.
To make matters worse, Satan summoned the other five elders to Egerhead. This made the already tense situation even more severe, and the Straw Hat crew faced unprecedented pressure.
At this critical moment, the Giant Warrior Pirates suddenly appeared in Eghardt. They resolutely landed, providing crucial support to the Straw Hat crew. The Giant Warrior Pirates' overwhelming strength forced the Five Elders to divert their attention, creating a rare respite for the Straw Hat crew and helping them successfully retreat from Eghardt.
After a thrilling and arduous battle, the Straw Hat Pirates, working together, finally managed to escape the perilous place with Bonney and Bartholomew Kuma. However, tragically, Vegapunk's main body perished in the fierce battle. Of his many clones, only Lilith managed to escape with the Straw Hat crew.
This outcome was undoubtedly a heavy blow to Luffy, filling him with frustration and loss. After all, Vegapunk was an important person to him, and his passing caused Luffy immense grief. Nevertheless, Luffy was not defeated by sorrow; he knew life had to go on, and many more adventures awaited them.
After leaving Eghardt, the Straw Hat crew, led by the Giant Warrior Pirates, embarked on a journey to Elbaf. This is a place full of mystery and unknown challenges, and it is also the hometown of the Giant Warrior Pirates. During their long voyage, Luffy and his crew, aboard their Thousand Sunny, traversed a mysterious sea area known as the "Sleeping Mist Route."
This route is called the "Sleeping Mist Route" because it's shrouded in a thick fog, as if the entire ocean is enveloped in a thin veil. The fog seems to contain some kind of special power, inducing a strange drowsiness. Luffy and his crew were unknowingly affected by this power and fell into a deep sleep.
At that critical moment, a dark shadow flashed past like lightning, followed by a huge bird with brilliantly colored feathers appearing above them. This bird was named Mujin, and its powerful wings and sharp claws displayed astonishing strength and speed.
With lightning speed, Mujin swooped down and easily grabbed the Thousand Sunny. Before Luffy and the others could react, they were carried away from their original spot along with the ship.
Mujin soared through the clouds and landed in a completely new place. This was the territory of Rhodes, a member of the New Giant Warrior Pirates, surrounded by towering mountains and dense forests, a place teeming with life.
However, Rhodes was not friendly to Luffy and his crew's arrival. He was arrogant and unwilling to become Luffy's subordinate, so he devised a plan to place them in a place known as the "Land of the Gods" to test their strength and courage.
As Luffy and his crew gradually awoke from their slumber, they were astonished to find themselves in a completely unfamiliar and mysterious environment. Everything here seemed so eerie, as if countless unknown dangers were lurking within.
Despite the provocation from Rod and his men, Luffy showed no fear. A confident smile played on his lips as he unleashed his formidable strength without hesitation. He moved with lightning speed, instantly defeating Rod and his entire crew.
While continuing his exploration of Elbaf, Luffy accidentally fell into a bottomless cave. This cave was like an entrance to the underworld, eerie and terrifying, sending chills down one's spine.
In that mysterious place, Luffy unexpectedly encountered Loki, the imprisoned giant prince. Loki's appearance filled Luffy with even more curiosity and a desire to explore this place. After some conversation, Luffy and Loki reached a special "deal": Luffy agreed to do something for Loki in the mortal world.
On their way back to the mortal realm, Luffy accidentally encountered Goldbag and Gertz, members of the New Giant Warrior Pirates. They were carrying the Thousand Sunny and seemed to be searching for Luffy and his crew. Upon seeing this, Luffy didn't hesitate to join them in the chase after Nami and the others.
After some effort, Luffy finally caught up with Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and Sanji. Led by the New Giant Warrior Pirates, they arrived together at West Village, where the giant warriors lived. There, Luffy successfully reunited with Robin and the others.
Afterwards, Luffy and his crew followed Robin to Warrior's Spring. In this magical place, they witnessed Robin's reunion with Haguval D. Saul. This scene was incredibly moving and gave Luffy a deeper understanding of this mysterious place.
Next, Luffy and his crew visited the Walrus School and the Owl Library, experiencing the unique culture and traditions of the Giants. During their gathering with the Giants, Luffy thoroughly enjoyed the fun.
Finally, accompanied by Nami and Zoro, Luffy, led by Rod, headed to Auersto Castle to retrieve the key to Loki's handcuffs. However, upon arriving at the castle, they discovered a shocking scene—the giant guard who had been defeated by the Knights of God was lying on the ground.
The two guards said in terror, "We...we were attacked by Shanks!" Luffy's eyes widened as he stared at them in disbelief. "What? Shanks? How could he be here?" Shanks' image flashed through Luffy's mind. He simply couldn't imagine that Shanks would attack these two guards.
"Shanks...did he say anything?" Luffy pressed. The guards shook their heads. "He didn't say anything, he just suddenly appeared and attacked us." Luffy frowned, filled with doubt. "Why would Shanks do that? Does he have any brothers here?"
Luffy and his crew continued their journey towards the King's Hall, still discussing amongst themselves. As they entered, a figure suddenly appeared before them. Luffy looked closely and recognized him as Skpar Japon, a former member of the Roger Pirates.
Jia Peng stood there with a serious expression, a key clutched in his hand. His gaze fell on Luffy. "What are you doing here?" Luffy answered without fear, "We're here to rescue Loki!" Jia Peng sneered, "You think you can do this?" He held up the key. "This is the key to releasing Loki. Don't even think about taking it from me!"
Seeing this, Luffy immediately rushed forward, trying to snatch the key from Jia Peng's hand. However, Jia Peng was exceptionally agile, easily dodging every attack Luffy made. Undeterred, Luffy continued trying various methods, but none could get his hands on the key.
Just as Luffy was feeling somewhat helpless, he suddenly activated Gear Fifth. Instantly, Luffy's body became enormous, and his strength increased dramatically. Upon seeing this, Jia Peng's expression changed slightly, but he did not back down, still gripping the key tightly.
Luffy swung his massive fist, aiming a powerful blow at Jia Peng. Jia Peng nimbly dodged to the side, avoiding Luffy's attack. However, Luffy didn't stop; he launched a relentless barrage of attacks, giving Jia Peng no chance to catch his breath.
Finally, under Luffy's fierce onslaught, Jia Peng gradually began to falter. His breathing became rapid, and a fine layer of sweat appeared on his forehead. Just as Luffy was about to launch another attack, Jia Peng suddenly shouted, "Enough! I surrender!" With that, he threw the key in his hand to Luffy.
Luffy caught the key, a victorious smile spreading across his face. He and Zoro exchanged a glance, then headed together towards the Underworld. Deep within the Underworld, they found Loki bound to a stone pillar.
Loki was still wearing shackles, and his body looked somewhat weak. Luffy walked up to Loki, looked at him, and said, "Hey, you're Loki?" Loki looked up at Luffy and Zoro, a hint of surprise on his face. "You...you've come to rescue me?"
"Who are you? How did you get here?" Loki looked at the strangers in front of him with suspicion and wariness.
"We're here to rescue you, so please remove these shackles," Luffy said urgently, seemingly oblivious to Loki's hostility.
Loki sneered, mocking, "Do you think I'd believe you so easily? These shackles are enchanted; only I can remove them." His gaze fell on the shackles on his ankles, which shimmered faintly, clearly imbued with some powerful magic.
Luffy completely ignored Loki's words. He casually waved his hand, a confident smile on his face, and said loudly, "Then hurry up and untie it. We don't have time to waste here with you!"
However, Loki did not act immediately. Instead, he suddenly changed the subject, his gaze falling on Luffy, and slowly said, "Do you know Shanks?"
