Chapter 6: Uproar in the Imperial Dynasty
Chapter 6: Uproar in the Imperial Dynasty
Prince Tai is indeed incredibly arrogant!
They seemed to have the Xiao siblings completely under their thumb.
Even though the place was incredibly noisy, Song Zhaowen, with his sharp ears, could still hear several footsteps approaching from outside the private room corridor. They stopped not far from the door, presumably other henchmen who had heard the commotion.
As expected, Crown Prince Tai did not allow Xiao Zhuoxiao to leave alive tonight.
"Young Master, let's talk this out. Why resort to knives and guns? It's not good if you scare the girls." Song Zhaowen took a small step forward, standing right between Xiao Zhuoxiao and Prince Tai.
Song Zhaowen planned to stall for a few more minutes, using the cockroach's super senses to detect all the people lying in ambush at the Dynasty Nightclub, so that at least when they made their move, they would know how to escape.
Crown Prince Tai turned his gaze to him, sizing him up, his contempt undisguised: "You're the one Xiao Zhuoxiao brought...who? You look unfamiliar. Where are you from?"
"Tsz Wan Shan, a nobody, someone I grew up with with Ah Hau; however, Prince, your family is wealthy and powerful, so you probably don't need this 300,000 urgently. Although my brother and I aren't particularly capable, we do have some connections in Tsz Wan Shan. How about this, we'll pay this amount, but please give us some time. We guarantee we'll repay you double, with interest."
"Hahaha." Prince Tai seemed to have heard a funny joke: "What kind of trash are you, you think you can carry this? You think you're Chiang Tin-sang of Hung Hing? I said tonight I either get the money or someone keeps me company; but..."
Prince Tai glanced at Song Zhaowen with amusement: "Damn, it's a waste for a brat to be so handsome in the underworld. I have a film company that's short of a male lead. Come help me make a few movies; like 'The Dog and the Master Killer,' make seventeen or eighteen of them, and I'll consider letting the Xiao siblings go, hahaha."
Just from the title, you can tell it's extremely indecent. Prince Tai's film company only makes adult films; it's a standard insult.
Song Zhaowen's smile faded slightly, but his tone remained calm: "Young Master, leave some room for maneuver in your actions, so you can meet again in the future. We are, after all, people of Zhengxing. Making things too tense over this debt won't benefit anyone. What do you think..."
"Zhengxing?" Prince Tai interrupted him, his tone even more disdainful. "Uncle Dingfu of Zhengxing has long since retired from the criminal world. Now Zhengxing is a disorganized mess. Who cares about the life or death of a 49-er? Don't try to scare me with Zhengxing."
He had obviously done his research and knew that Xiao Zhuoxiao had no powerful backers in Zhengxing, and that while Prince Tai was arrogant, he was definitely not stupid.
After a few seconds of silence, Song Zhaowen finished perceiving the entire Imperial Nightclub, which appeared in his mind like a three-dimensional image. There was no need to continue to feign politeness with Crown Prince Tai.
Then, he raised his head, looked directly at Prince Tai, and his eyes became sharper: "Since you've put it this way, there's nothing more for us to talk about."
"However, there's something I'd like to remind the Crown Prince."
"Oh? What are you saying?" Crown Prince Tai asked calmly.
"What goes around comes around."
Crown Prince Tai's face instantly darkened. Song Zhaowen was the first person to threaten him on his own turf. Was he being threatened by a mere nobody?
"Are you trying to scare me?" Prince Tai suddenly stood up, slamming his cigar into the ashtray. "Go ahead and try, let's see if you kill me first, or I kill you all first!"
Before he could finish speaking, one of the hot-tempered henchmen next to him couldn't hold back any longer. He cursed "You son of a bitch" and threw a punch at Song Zhaowen's face!
The punch, accompanied by the sound of wind, wasn't slow, but in Song Zhaowen's 270-degree wide-angle field of vision and enhanced dynamic visuals, its trajectory was as clear as a slow-motion replay.
He even had time to catch a glimpse of the reflection in the skull ring on his fist, and the smug, ferocious look on the henchman's face.
Song Zhaowen didn't dodge. He merely tilted his head slightly, a very small movement, and the heavy punch grazed past his earlobe without even touching a hair.
The henchman who threw the punch was stunned for a moment, seemingly not expecting his opponent to dodge so easily. Just as he was about to retract his fist and strike again, Song Zhaowen moved.
It's not about retreating, but about stepping forward.
His right hand, like a venomous snake emerging from its hole, brought together the four fingers of the Iron Tiger Finger and used the base of his palm as the tip to strike precisely at the open armpit exposed by the henchman's punch from below!
The starting move of Tieshan Kao, a variation of Dingxin Zhou in Bajiquan.
"Well!"
A dull thud, like a heavy hammer hitting a sandbag, resounded. The thug's sneer instantly twisted into pain as the sudden burst of force sent him flying backward, his feet leaving the ground. He crashed into the liquor rack behind him with a loud bang, the sounds of shattering glass and spilled liquor filling the air.
Everything happened in the blink of an eye.
The private room fell silent instantly, as if even the background music had been paused. Everyone was stunned, including Prince Tai.
No one expected that this seemingly refined and even somewhat shy "student" would act so ruthlessly and so quickly.
"Damn it!" Another henchman who was nearby reacted first, roared and drew the short knife hidden behind his waist, stabbing it at Song Zhaowen's waist and abdomen!
Song Zhaowen had an unobstructed view and had already anticipated the attack. He twisted his body at an uncanny angle to dodge the blade, and his left hand shot out with lightning speed, his five fingers like hooks, precisely gripping the opponent's wrist holding the knife and twisting it forcefully!
Click!
The sickening sound of bones cracking.
"Ah—!" The henchman let out a pig-like scream, and the dagger fell from his hand to the ground.
With a quick pull, Song Zhaowen caused the henchman to lose his balance, while simultaneously hooking his right foot up silently and striking the man's shinbone with pinpoint accuracy.
Another cry of pain rang out, and the henchman collapsed to the ground, clutching his leg and wailing.
In the blink of an eye, the two most capable henchmen fell to the ground.
"Grab your weapons!" Prince Tai finally reacted, both shocked and furious, and roared.
The remaining five henchmen, as if waking from a dream, pulled out machetes, steel pipes, and some even pulled out baseball bats from under the sofa, surrounding them with fierce expressions.
The two henchmen blocking the door also pulled out their weapons, sealing off any escape route.
Xiao Zhuoxiao had already drawn his machete and began slashing wildly left and right.
"Awen, watch out!" He saw someone swing a knife at Song Zhaowen's back from the side and hurriedly warned him.
Song Zhaowen didn't turn his head, as if he had eyes in the back of his head. He lowered his body slightly, and the blade grazed his scalp. At the same time, he slammed his right elbow backward like a hammer, striking the attacker squarely in the ribs.
"Pfft!" The man groaned, staggered backward, clutching his ribs, his face pale.
His footsteps never faltered, moving like a ghost within the confined space of the private room. His movements were subtle, yet he always managed to evade attacks by the slightest margin, each strike precise and ruthless, aimed directly at joints and vital points. The Iron Tiger Finger gleamed with a cold metallic luster in the dim light, each collision with flesh producing a dull thud of bones cracking and tendons snapping.
