Chapter 54 A Heartfelt Admiration and Imitation of a Shocking Act
Chapter 54 A Heartfelt Admiration and Imitation of a Shocking Act
Ginny was horrified when she heard the person in the carriage announce their name.
It's Malfoy?!
And he even bought muscle-building drugs?
Is it to deal with Harry?
She kept these words in mind, quietly withdrew her hand, and prepared to deliver this secret letter.
Just as she lifted her foot, the sliding door was suddenly pulled open. Ginny looked up, cried out in surprise, and her little face turned deathly pale.
The person who opened the door was Draco Malfoy, with Goyle and Crabbe, his two henchmen, sitting beside him.
Ginny exclaimed, "You...you took a potion?!"
It should be noted that Malfoy was originally a thin man, but now he appears to be somewhat more robust than he was at Flourish and Blotts.
Upon hearing Ginny's words, Malfoy retorted angrily, "Don't talk nonsense, you're from the Weasley family! I built these muscles myself!"
"But you also bought magic potions!"
"I haven't used it yet!"
After a brief argument, Malfoy waved his hand, and Crabbe and Goyle both stood up and moved closer to Ginny.
Ginny quickly pulled out her wand, then backed away, sternly saying, "Don't mess around! I've learned quite a few powerful spells."
Gore and Crabbe exchanged a glance, neither of them caring.
What powerful spell could a freshman who hasn't even enrolled yet possibly know? Even second-year students wouldn't dare say that.
Otherwise, Malfoy wouldn't have gone to buy the muscle-building potion.
The two men closed in from either side, intending to shove Ginny to the ground. Malfoy, with his hands behind his back holding a black notebook, waited for Ginny to fall backward and open the book before tossing away this damned Tom Riddle notebook.
Gore stretched out his arms to push Ginny over, but just as he reached out his hand, he heard an angry shout.
"You damned bastard! How dare you hurt my sworn sister!"
Harry, having seen the trick, went to find Ginny and met Malfoy and the others, his resentment and anger rising.
He leaped forward, spread his five fingers like tiger claws, and grabbed Gao's arm. With a crisp crack, Gao's arm was dislocated.
"Aaaaaah!!! My arm!"
He opened his mouth, as if to call for Malfoy and Crabbe to come to his aid. Turning his head, he saw that the cubicle was already empty; the two had run away at some point.
Gao Er groaned inwardly, cold sweat pouring down his back. He knew that it was in this very carriage last year that he had been knocked unconscious by Scarface with three punches.
His heart pounded. What had he said last year?
Oh! Begging for mercy doesn't make you a hero!
If you're going to stick to your guns, then let me off the hook!
Goyle gritted his teeth, enduring the pain, and shouted, "Come on! Harry Potter! I'm not afraid of you!"
Harry was furious when he saw that Harry still dared to provoke him, and threw another punch at his head.
"Hey! You scoundrel, you dare to court death!"
This punch was incredibly fast, powerful, and perfectly timed, hitting right on the temple, leaving Gao Er completely stunned.
Ginny was stunned. She knew Harry had a good physique, but this was the first time she had ever seen him as an envoy.
Ron and Hermione, unfazed, simply tossed the man out of the carriage and took over his place.
"Come in, Ginny, don't just stand there."
Ginny was in a daze for a moment, then sat down and hurriedly told Harry about Malfoy buying potions.
Harry wasn't alarmed; he was just secretly amazed. "This guy's got a knack for finding shortcuts."
"Just now I noticed that he was a bit more robust, and I thought I had misjudged him."
Ron and Hermione were secretly amazed; thankfully, they had listened to Harry and hadn't neglected their training.
As dusk fell, the group arrived at Hogwarts.
Separated from the first-year students, Harry and the other upperclassmen headed straight for the castle.
Upon reaching the door, instead of a teacher to greet them, they heard a burst of hearty laughter, followed by the clattering of leather shoes in the shadows.
"Oh dear, good evening, little wizards."
"I know many of you would like to take a photo with me, but that will have to wait until after dinner."
Harry looked closely and saw that it was Lockhart.
The sixth and seventh-grade witches screamed and trembled upon seeing him. Had Harry not known Lockhart was there, he would have surely chopped off a tooth and sprinkled black dog's blood to exorcise the evil spirit.
Lockhart grinned, waving his hand. When he saw Harry, his eyes lit up, and he rushed over.
"Harry! Long time no see!"
He was about to exchange pleasantries when Snape suddenly appeared, waving his wand and causing Lockhart to stumble and nearly fall.
"I say, Professor Lockhart, what we should be doing now seems to be leading the new students into the auditorium."
"Oh! It's so dark, I didn't even see the pebbles on the ground." Lockhart acted as if nothing had happened, dusted off his robes, and chuckled, "Of course, Professor Snape, you're right."
"We should take the children to the auditorium first."
The two professors led everyone to the auditorium, where they were all seated. A moment later, McGonagall brought in the first-year students.
"I hope Ginny doesn't get sorted into Slytherin," Ron said nervously. "Actually, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff aren't so great either."
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Ron, your whole family are Gryffindors, okay?"
As they were talking, McGonagall began calling out names.
"Colin Crevey".
She called out, and a boy wearing glasses ran out from among the new students, with a camera hanging around his neck.
The man named Colin looked nervous as he sat down in his chair, put on his hat, and the Sorting Hat began to act mysterious.
"Oh~ Is the first one this difficult?"
"I need to think about it carefully..."
Before the Sorting Hat could finish speaking, Colin suddenly grabbed the hat, took a trembling breath, and threw it to the ground with a thud.
"I decide which branch I go to!"
"I'm going to Gryffindor!"
Such an astonishing feat left the students of the Fourth Division in complete silence, while the professors at the long table stared wide-eyed.
Harry clapped his hands and laughed, "What a hero! If you don't come to Gryffindor, you've failed at Hogwarts!"
The Sorting Hat was furious, but there was nothing it could do.
It should be understood that it only offers suggestions, but cannot force anyone. If the wizard's mind is elsewhere, even the most eloquent words cannot change its mind.
"Alright, you wretched fanboy! Go ahead and sit with your idol."
Colin was overjoyed and headed straight for Gryffindor. Upon seeing Harry, he exclaimed, "Harry Potter! I'm your fan!"
"I heard—you dropped the Sorting Hat during the Sorting Ceremony—I didn't dare do what you did, but the hat seems, seems not to want me sorted into Gryffindor..."
When Colin met his idol, he felt his mouth swell and his throat tighten, and he stammered as he finished speaking.
The freshmen waiting to be assigned to their respective departments all had their own thoughts running through their minds after hearing his words.
So... all you have to do is throw your hat on the ground and shout out which branch you want to go to, right?
There was a Sorting Hall, where young boys, defying the old rules, threw down their hats. They chose their own houses and left, and the newcomers, seeing this, were to follow suit. If you ask how Colin managed to be so audacious, it turns out he was Harry himself, setting an example first. To find out what happens next, stay tuned for the next installment.
