Chapter 160 Hogwarts Holiday
Luna, seeing Kane's constantly changing expressions, leaned closer to examine him more closely, then waved her hand.
"Hmm...do you know something?"
Kane immediately shook his head. If the story of Luna's mother being taken to the Eternal Realm was true, that would be one thing, but if it wasn't true and she was actually blown to bits by a magical experiment, wouldn't that be messing with Luna's mentality?
"Hmm, your expression isn't very convincing, but I believe you because you don't have a single harassing traitor about you."
Luna slowly put on the anti-demon glasses that were placed on the small table and said quietly.
"Harassment ghost? Is it one of those small, silvery-white, transparent ghosts?" Kane subconsciously equated this new term with the Moon Spirits on Moon Island, but just to be on the safe side, he still asked.
Luna nodded. "You've seen them before?"
Kane had certainly seen them; there were plenty of those things on Moon Island in the Eternal Realm.
It's normal for Luna to say that she doesn't have the Moon Spirit, since Shadow and Moon are opposing forces that can't stand each other. And since she's been the owner of this Shadow Toilet for who knows how many times, the Moon Spirit certainly won't be around her.
Even though my thoughts are currently as tangled as a ball of yarn.
With that in mind, Kane wasn't in a hurry to return to Hogwarts. He still needed to ask Luna for more information, such as where that harassing fly usually appeared.
Luna raised an eyebrow: "In a classroom... there are many people with heads that are studying, and many wise people with heads that are wise, like Hermione Granger, like Headmaster Dumbledore, and then there are those who are troubled."
Kane nodded. Indeed, as he had expected, if the essence of the shadows was blindness, chaos, erosion, fear, and devouring, then the essence of the moons was the complete opposite.
It is an observation, a cycle, an enlightenment, a purity and an order.
It is quite reasonable that such a force would unconsciously gravitate towards wise people who strive to learn. Moreover, it is not only those who strive to learn and those who are wise; because the moon also has the quality of enlightenment, it will also seek out those who have troubles and encourage them to try to let go of their troubles.
In this light, Luna's naming of Moon Spirit as "Harassment Scoundrel" is surprisingly fitting.
Wearing her anti-demon glasses, Luna quietly watched Kane sitting opposite her, looking thoughtful and troubled, even though he should have been completely obscured by the harasser at this moment.
While the facts were indeed similar—in her eyes, countless harassers did fly towards Kane from all directions—the moment they approached him at a very precise distance, they vanished like moths to a flame.
"You're really strange." Luna looked at Kane for a while, watching him lean back in his chair with his head tilted back, deep in thought. She slowly took off the anti-demon glasses she was wearing, flipped them over, and put them on Kane's face.
"I think you might need her," Luna said quietly.
"I do need these glasses, but I haven't figured out how to say it yet. After all, they're your mother's keepsake. You just handed them over to me like this?" Kane asked instinctively, looking at Luna, whose two spirits were slowly floating beside his head.
"I feel good enough that I can see these glasses; I don't have to wear them all the time... If you feel bad about it, you could give me a hat or some jewelry. This is my home address." Luna said, standing up and taking a piece of parchment from the luggage rack, where she wrote an address.
"I've never ordered a package before in my life, and I never expected that my first package would be delivered by you."
Luna's words were very interesting. Even though Kane hadn't agreed to it yet, she was already convinced that Kane would reciprocate.
And Kane...
He's not some kind of devil, of course he'd reciprocate. Besides, he's not some scoundrel who enjoys stealing what others love, so he'd definitely return the glasses to Luna after using them.
If this were just an ordinary accessory, or even a luxury item, she could accept it without a problem. But for Luna, these glasses were truly her mother's keepsake.
If someone were to actually take possession of another person's mother's belongings, how would they be any different from a beast?
At this point, Kane quickly waved his hand and said, "Don't worry about that. I will definitely send you all the hats I can make. And I'm just borrowing these glasses. I will return them to you personally after I'm done."
Kane used his Transfiguration to conjure an eyeglass case, though he actually wanted to conjure a safe, but felt that would be too conspicuous.
Just as he was about to put the demon-proof glasses back into their case, Luna shook her head: "Aren't you going to ride your broomstick back to school later? Maybe you can use them as windproof glasses?"
Kane: "emmmm...."
'
Although Luna's suggestion was indeed tempting, Kane ultimately did not do so. Luna, meanwhile, looked out the window at the dark streak of light flying rapidly toward Hogwarts, pouted, and then quickly smoothed it out.
Soon, Kane returned to his loyal Hogwarts once again.
At this point, Hogwarts had no young wizards left; in fact, most of the professors had also left. After all, while the Hogwarts faculty and staff had an extremely high rate of widowhood and singlehood...
But they are not like Kane and Dumbledore; they both have families.
Dumbledore preferred to consider Hogwarts his home, while Dumbledore's old house? That was just a house.
Of course, it could also be because this place is closer to the bar owned by his brother Aberforth, at least in terms of space.
Kane is truly pitiful. Although he doesn't lack Galleons now, once he leaves Hogwarts, he's still a poor, destitute man with no roof over his head.
So much so that dinner at Hogwarts was unusually quiet today, with only Kane, Dumbledore, Lupin, Hagrid, and Mr. Filch, who had only just recovered at the end of the term.
For some reason, perhaps out of sheer stupidity, this person believed some bizarre rumors and genuinely thought that Kane was the mastermind behind the Basilisk and the true heir to Slytherin.
When I first recovered, I was genuinely scared for a long time.
Of course, I'm still afraid now. I only dare to eat at the same table as Kane when Dumbledore is watching. I leave quickly after only a few bites, not even knowing if I've eaten enough.
Hagrid was the same. Although Hogwarts was on holiday and there were no classes, the Forbidden Forest still needed him to look after it. Lupin instinctively wanted to go with Hagrid, since they hadn't seen each other for so many years and he wanted to chat with his old friend.
However, Kane reached out and pulled him down. Now only the three of them remained in the Great Hall. It was time to plan how to deal with the curse on Lupin.
