Chapter 96 Battle Demonstration! Meticulously Designed!
Chapter 96 Battle Demonstration! Meticulously Designed!
"The Red Hats are extremely stealthy and insidious creatures of the night. They love to hide in red, blood-stained places and attack passersby with wooden clubs..."
As Professor Eccles described the characteristics of the red hat, she waved her wand and lifted the red cloth covering the large iron cage.
The new Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs immediately craned their necks and peered into the cage, only to find a pool of bright red blood splattered on the iron floor inside.
Seeing this, Professor Ecclesiass stretched out her wand again and used two silent movement spells to shake the large iron cage.
Suddenly, a small monster, entirely blood red and somewhat resembling a fairy but much shorter, emerged from the pool of blood, wielding a large wooden club stained with blood, and began banging on the iron cage bars in the direction of the female professor.
Dudley saw clearly that the red hat did not spring out of the pool of blood, but rather, using its skin color, which was indistinguishable from the blood, it lay quietly in the blood, as if invisible, and then suddenly sprang up and attacked with a stick after being stimulated.
"Is there any student willing to step forward and, with my help, try to fight against this red hat?"
Professor Eckeris pointed to the red hat in the cage, looked at the group of young wizards below who had not yet taken a spells class, and made a rather outrageous classroom request.
The Hufflepuff freshmen, seeing the incredibly ferocious red-hatted creature pounding the bars in its cage, felt no desire to fight and avoided the female professor's gaze without a second thought.
The Gryffindor freshmen were also in a dilemma. Neville quickly lowered his head and pretended to be a coward, while Ron looked troubled. He wanted to raise his hand, but then he remembered his meager strength and could only honestly admit defeat.
Harry knew his cousin was wary of the female professor, so he remained calm and didn't step forward. Instead, he looked at Dudley, waiting for an opportunity to act.
Only Hermione, the tomboy, raised her little hand high, her expression extremely excited, eager to show off.
"Alright then, please have this gentleman here..."
"Let me, the teaching assistant, give it a try! The red hat is still too dangerous for freshmen."
Seeing that Professor Ecclesiastes had no other choice and was about to call on Hermione, Dudley stood up and took the job.
Hermione puffed out her cheeks in anger, stared at Dudley's retreating figure, and helplessly lowered her hand.
Professor Eckeris looked at Dudley, who had volunteered, with a hint of surprise in her eyes, before readily agreeing:
"Since Assistant Dursley is willing to help with the demonstration, that would be wonderful."
Dudley nodded with a fake smile, leaning on Smetin's cane, and walked step by step toward the iron cage. He looked exactly like a little adult, yet his demeanor and bearing showed no trace of childishness.
This did not cause Professor Ecclesia to feel any contempt, and she regarded Dudley as a fellow wizard of the same level.
When Dali walked to the front of the stage, the female professor couldn't help but ask:
“Dursley, are you ready? Aren’t you going to use a wand? Or is your wand hidden inside that staff?”
"Prepare to open the iron cage door, Professor Ecclesia."
Dudley maintained his fake smile. He glanced at the female professor, then placed the Smetin cane in the air beside him. The cane floated steadily in mid-air, motionless, as if there were a transparent support there.
Then, Dudley stood up empty-handed, turned to face the iron cage door, fixed his gaze on the red hat inside the cage, and slowly said:
"I am the magic wand!"
Professor Eckeris was stunned. It took her two seconds to come to her senses. In her twenty-eight years of life, she had never seen such an arrogant and pretentious little wizard.
I've really opened my eyes today!
Without further hesitation, she immediately waved her wand, opening the iron cage door from a distance. At the same time, she cast a 'Protect All' spell, enveloping herself, Dudley, and Red Hat in a small defensive barrier, putting them on guard.
"Waaaah—"
As soon as the iron gate opened, the short, red-hatted creature with the red hat barked and charged out, brandishing its large red wooden club. It went straight for Dudley, knowing it could no longer hide and could not ambush him; it had no choice but to attack head-on.
Facing the red hat rushing towards him, Dudley did not cast any ranged attack spells, but simply bowed slightly, ready to strike.
"Snapped!"
The next second, Dali's right hand glowed red as he steadily caught the top of the wooden stick that the red-hatted man was throwing at him.
The immense force was transmitted through the wooden stick to the red hat, forcefully halting its charge.
The man in the red hat stood there, trying to pull back his wooden stick, but he couldn't budge it at all, as if he were pulling on a towering tree.
Dudley smiled contemptuously, grabbed the red hat's wooden stick with his hand and swung it forward. The red hat, who was holding on tightly to the stick, was immediately slammed back into the large iron cage along with the stick.
"Wow--"
The red hat fell to the ground, causing the person to cry out in pain.
The young wizards in the classroom, as well as Professor Eckeris, all gaped in astonishment.
They had considered that Dudley might use spells or transfiguration, but they never expected that Dudley would use brute force instead.
"Don't be surprised! This is magic too!"
Dudley stared at the red-hatted man slowly getting up and explained, "When facing the enemy, we must pay attention to the enemy's eyes and movements, predict their attack range, and quickly formulate a response strategy based on our own strength."
Don't be afraid, don't panic, be quick and ruthless!
As Dudley spoke, he lightly touched the ground with his foot and swiftly sidestepped, dodging the new attack from Red Hat with his bat. Then he bent down and pressed himself close to Red Hat's body.
To the horrified look in the red hat's eyes, Dudley raised his hand and slapped it twice across the face, the force so great that it knocked out all of its stinky teeth.
Then, the unlucky red-hatted man was kicked in a specific direction by Dudley with skillful force, and his short body shot away.
The large red wooden club it was holding flew out of its hand halfway and struck Professor Eccles' pointed wizard hat with great speed.
"Oh no! Professor, watch out!"
Professor Ecclesia could have used her magic to block the large red wooden stick flying towards her head.
However, Dudley suddenly let out a loud shout, which created a huge echo within the hemispherical defensive barrier, like a thunderclap, resounding in Professor Eckeris's ears and making her scalp tingle, causing her to miss a crucial opportunity to defend.
The red hat and large red wooden stick knocked Professor Eccles's crimson wizard hat, which she had specially chosen for this class, flying away.
Her long, flowing hair suddenly cascaded down, giving this charming female professor a unique, messy beauty.
Dudley didn't care whether the female professor was beautiful or not; he only cared whether the back of her head was bald and whether she had Voldemort's strange face.
This is why his painstaking design was not in vain.
