"Your code name is Wild Wolf."
"Your code name is Gray Wolf."
After that, Ran Feng's codename was "Coyote," and Miao Zhiqiang's codename was "Miao Wolf," and so on.
After assigning all the soldiers their code names, Fang Zhenhua continued.
"I will give you two weeks to rest and recuperate. You can eat and play however you want, but I suggest you make the most of this time and focus on physical training."
"Because for the next 28 weeks, you will undergo extremely brutal special training."
Training codename: Shadow Tempering.
"I almost forgot to tell you, this training program will be 10 times more brutal than the Gates of Purgatory."
After saying that, Fang Zhenhua left the training ground, and He Zhijun and Fang Yingda quickly followed.
At that moment, the 24 soldiers on the training field were all dumbfounded.
Gao Dazhuang gritted his teeth and said fiercely.
"Damn King Fang, he's been torturing us for so long and he's still not satisfied. He wants to torture us for another seven months. I'll endure it even if it kills me."
Mada, standing to the side, asked with some curiosity.
"Xiao Gao, do you really want to stay in the special forces?"
"Yes, I not only want to stay, I want to become an elite member of the special forces, and then go and torture the next batch of people."
Mada and the others slapped their foreheads, realizing, "Oh no, another one driven mad."
Before King Yama Fang had even left, another "Judge Gao" arrived.
Fang Zhenhua never imagined that it was precisely because he was extremely strict when establishing the Wolf Fang Special Forces that every batch of special training soldiers later developed an intense hatred for the three words "King of Hell."
Back in his office, Fang Yingda couldn't wait to ask.
"Zhenhua, do you have a detailed plan for the Shadow Tempering Training you mentioned?"
"Teacher, how can I keep these people in line if I don't have a detailed plan?"
"Take it out and let me see it."
Fang Yingda was impatient, and even He Zhijun, who was standing next to him, showed a strong desire in his eyes.
Looking into the eyes of these two men, Fang Zhenhua knew that it was impossible to hide it. Such advanced special operations theory would naturally see the light of day one day, so there was no need to hide it.
So Fang Zhenhua took out a stack of papers from the drawer. On the top one, it read "Shadow Tempering Training Plan".
Fang Yingda is a division commander, how could He Zhijun possibly take his place?
Fang Yingda looked through it carefully from top to bottom and from front to back, becoming more and more shocked with each reading.
After he finished reading it all, an hour had passed without him even realizing it.
Looking at his beloved student, Fang Yingda couldn't help but ask.
"Zhenhua, did you write this training plan?"
"Excellent, excellent! You are indeed a prodigy! Fang Zhenhua, you are not only proficient in siege warfare and defensive warfare, but I didn't expect you to know so much about special operations. Truly, a hero emerges from among the young!"
"Teacher, me."
"You don't need to say anything more. Looking at the whole country, I can say frankly that no one can surpass you, Fang Zhenhua, in the field of special operations. Zhenhua, bring this unit here. I'm begging you."
As he spoke, Fang Yingda bent down and bowed to Fang Zhenhua.
“Teacher, I am also a revolutionary soldier. National defense is the true backing of diplomacy! Dignity exists on the edge of the sword, and truth is only within the range of cannons. For the country, for the Party and the people, I will definitely lead the Wolf Fang Special Forces well.”
"Okay, okay, your teacher will keep an eye on you. If you need anything, just give me a call."
"Thank you, teacher."
Fang Yingda left. He had been in the special forces brigade for more than half a month, but he was, after all, the division commander, and there was still a lot of work waiting for him to handle.
After Fang Yingda left, only Fang and He remained in the office.
He Zhijun eagerly took the plan; he wanted to see it carefully to see what kind of plan had shocked Commander Fang so much.
After He Zhijun finished reading, he gave Fang Zhenhua a thumbs up.
"Old Fang, I give up."
The Shadow Tempering Training Program is divided into four phases, with a total duration of 28 weeks.
The first phase, named "Foundation of Hell," took six weeks.
Daily Required Course:
04:00 AM: After breakfast, we will conduct a 20km cross-country run with a weighted load, on a slope of ≥45°.
At 06:00: Immerse yourself in ice water to combat the cold, at a temperature of 0℃, for 20 minutes.
08:00 AM - 18:00 PM: High-explosive environment CQB tactics, live-fire close-quarters combat, shooting training, booby trap dismantling and assembly, and hand-to-hand combat lethal techniques.
The most important aspect worth describing is shooting training, which includes indoor close-range shooting, outdoor long-range shooting, individual rapid-fire combat, two-person rapid-fire combat, rapid-fire combat for the entire group, and pressure shooting.
At night, they need to perform blind weapon assembly and disassembly, battlefield first aid, and simulate limb amputation under no-light conditions.
Weekly assessment: 24-hour survival in "Devil's Valley", encountering a hunting party of instructors, and those captured must undergo simulated water torture.
The second phase, codenamed Shadow Specialization, lasts for 12 weeks and is divided into four training modules.
First, the art of assassination, including poison preparation, silent strangulation, and environmental camouflage. The requirement for environmental camouflage is to remain undetected for 4 hours while lying in wait near the target's podium.
Second, deep-sea infiltration requires swimming and diving into septic tanks, memorizing underground pipe network maps, and conducting operations in toxic gas environments while wearing gas masks.
Third, ghost vehicles, including nighttime parachute descents, submarine torpedo tube escapes, and train rooftop combat.
Fourth, for micro-equivalent blasting of plastic explosives, the requirement is to penetrate steel plates but not shatter glass.
The third phase, codenamed "Hell on Earth," lasts for six weeks.
First item: Prisoner of War Experience
Includes simulations of real prisoner-of-war camps: torture (non-permanent damage), food deprivation, and psychological humiliation.
The second escape mission: break free of restraints and cross 10 kilometers of enemy-occupied territory.
The third betrayal scenario involves team members accusing each other of traitors and being tortured to test their loyalty and ability to resist false accusations. Ultimately, the instructors reveal the truth.
Losers will be subjected to 30 minutes of waterboarding and 30 minutes of lying in a septic tank.
The fourth phase, codenamed Shadow Unsheathed, will last for four weeks.
This phase requires 72 hours of continuous work:
1. Enter a ship at sea to rescue hostages and engage in live-fire combat against the instructor team.
2. Airdrop behind enemy lines to destroy key facilities; if captured, subject them to waterboarding.
3. Carry a seriously injured teammate, a 75kg dummy, and traverse a swamp. The loser must lie in a septic tank for 30 minutes.
Core rule: Only one day's worth of rations will be provided throughout the entire trip; for the rest of the time, you will need to fend for yourself in the wild.
Looking at this Shadow Tempering Training Program, He Zhijun couldn't help but give it a thumbs up.
"Old Fang, you're really ruthless!"
"Old He, I need your help this time."
He Zhijun frowned and asked.
"How to say?"
"We need to practice shooting with them beforehand, otherwise we won't be able to teach them!"
He Zhijun paused for a moment, then nodded.
Rookies, formal training is here.
Chapter 25 The Foundation of Hell
The two-week period is both a rest period for the soldiers and a preparation period for the special forces.
We need to build a low-temperature swimming pool and several CQB (Close Quarters Battle) rooms.
Once completed, Fang Zhenhua and He Zhijun became the first users of the CQB (Combat QB) room.
Fortunately, both of them were seasoned veterans with extensive combat experience. Gradually, they figured out how to conduct close-quarters shooting indoors and other special shooting techniques.
In fact, for Fang Zhenhua and He Zhijun, there was a complementary and mutually supportive relationship between them and the soldiers.
Because, fundamentally, China lacks special operations theory and has no one to teach it.
Fang and He, along with these 24 special forces soldiers, are the first batch of special forces elites in China. We all need to improve together.
The military region was very helpful; all the facilities requested by the special forces were implemented by the military region in the shortest possible time.
Even that low-temperature swimming pool is no simple thing; the military region went to great lengths to help the special forces build one.
Furthermore, the military region prepared a batch of advanced weapons and equipment for the special forces, including the newly developed Type 81 automatic rifle and the Type 79 sniper rifle, which was issued in small quantities.
After all the preparations were completed, Fang Zhenhua spoke to He Zhijun.
"Old He, the special operations brigade should have its own organizational structure. I don't think it can be simply divided into three companies."
"So what do you think we should do?"
Subconsciously, He Zhijun now trusts Fang Zhenhua implicitly, because in He Zhijun's eyes, Fang Zhenhua is an expert in the field of special operations.
His opinion is extremely important.
"There are a total of 24 soldiers, with an average of six people forming a special operations team, including two assault soldiers, one demolition expert, one sniper, one logistics support soldier, and one commander."
"Different soldiers undergo the same basic training, but after completing 28 weeks of training, they will receive additional special training."
"For example, assault troops need to be trained in physical fitness, tactical shooting, close combat, and reconnaissance capabilities, because they are the core of the team's attack."
"Snipers, in particular, are trained in camouflage and sniping skills. In the war two years ago, many of our commanders were killed by enemy snipers."
Fang Zhenhua broke it down and explained it to He Zhijun, who listened with nodding in agreement.
"Old Fang, you're right. Special forces are different from regular forces, so our tactics must also be different."
"With the six-person special operations team at its core, training the tactical coordination between the teams becomes the top priority. You and I will each lead two teams and cooperate with each other. Once they have passed the Shadow Tempering, it will be much easier for me, Fang Yanwang, to talk to them!"
"Haha, but Lao Fang, you're right. Special forces are a first in China. We're still in the exploratory stage when it comes to special operations. The most important thing is to work together with our soldiers to build up our Wolf Fang Special Forces Brigade."
He patted He Zhijun on the shoulder. This future captain of the Wolf Fang Special Forces Brigade was Fang Zhenhua's best helper.
He Zhijun is exceptionally gifted; he can grasp things with just a slight mention. It must be said that having such a deputy saves Fang Zhenhua a lot of trouble.
After the battalion commander and deputy battalion commander discussed it, the rookies' day of suffering was about to begin.
Monday, 3 a.m.
The soldiers were still asleep when a smoke grenade was thrown in.
Throughout the dormitory, bursts of coughing could be heard incessantly.
Many people wailed.
"King Fang is going to torture us again."
Despite their complaints, these people quickly got ready and gathered at the dormitory entrance.
Fang Zhenhua glanced at the time and narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Two minutes? Is this the speed of your group? Slower than an old lady in the countryside. From now on, anyone who takes more than a minute and a half will not need to eat breakfast."
"I'm giving you half an hour to prepare breakfast, then gather all your equipment, carrying 20 kilograms of weight, and arrive at the training ground at 4 o'clock sharp for a 20-kilometer armed cross-country training."
"Hurry up."
The soldiers were to cross the road at four o'clock, and they knew very well that the slope of the training ground Fang Yanwang mentioned was at least 45 degrees.
Who has a kind soul who eats breakfast at 3 a.m.?
Gao Dazhuang, head down, huffed and puffed as he ran back to his dormitory. He vowed that he would torture new rookies in the same way in the future.
At four o'clock, all the soldiers began their 20-kilometer armed cross-country training.
Fang Zhenhua stood on the SUV, holding a microphone, and began to get exciting.
“You guys finished breakfast and you’re still so slow, slower than old ladies in the countryside. You’re not suitable for the special forces. I’m going to suggest that the military region transfer you to the textile factory.”
