Hearing Karen's assessment, Ernesto's voice remained calm, but his grip on his wand tightened. "What do we do, Karen! Should we use a banishing charm?"
"We can't wait for them to make the first move!" Karen's mind raced, instantly devising a tactic. "They're trying to ambush us! We have to break their rhythm! On my command: Wesley, Ernesto, Fabian! Target the fan-shaped area directly in front of you, maximum area spider-repelling spell! Prepare!"
"Understood!" the three roared in unison, raising their wands simultaneously and pointing them at the dark area in front of Karen from which the densest rustling sound was coming from.
Karen swiftly gripped the luminous stone that had been emitting a soft white light, and uttered a low shout: "Flash!" Powerful magic instantly flowed into the stone, and the light inside it was like a small sun that had been ignited, its brightness increasing more than tenfold. The dazzling white light instantly dispelled the surrounding darkness!
"Now! Arania Eumai!"
With a roar, Karen turned the illuminator to its highest brightness and hurled it like a miniature flashbang at the dark thicket where the most spiders lurked!

A blinding white light exploded in the darkness! Like a silent thunderclap!

Wesley, Ernesto, and Fabian's spells erupted almost simultaneously! Three pale silver light curtains, carrying strong repulsive fluctuations, instantly opened in front of Karen and quickly merged into a wider and stronger invisible barrier!

A piercing, furious, and pained hiss instantly shattered the forest's silence! The blinding light was nothing short of torture for the eight-eyed giant spiders, accustomed to darkness, instantly revealing their presence and severely stimulating their sensitive senses! The intense revulsion and dizziness brought on by the powerful exorcism spell struck them like an invisible hammer!
Enraged, the spider swarm could no longer remain hidden! Accompanied by the explosive sound of withered branches and leaves being crushed by their massive bodies and the teeth-grinding scraping of their limbs, more than a dozen ferocious-looking eight-eyed giant spiders surged out from every corner of the darkness! Their glossy black carapaces reflected an eerie light in the remaining bright light, their enormous compound eyes flashed with a violent red glow, their sharp mandibles opened and closed, dripping thick venom, and their eight bristle-covered legs frantically slashed at the ground, like a black tide of death, swooping towards the four people!
At the very front stood three enormous creatures, each the size of a fully grown horse! They charged ahead, their carapaces thick and their chelicerae like massive black scythes, their impact several times greater than that of the spiderlings! They also seemed to have greater resistance to the repelling spell, although their speed was clearly slowed.
It let out a painful scream, but continued to forcefully break through!
"Merlin!" Fabian's voice trembled as he looked at the three enormous creatures. Wesley gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead.
He desperately maintained the output of magic. Ernesto's face was ashen, but his spellcasting was the most stable.
The pale silver repulsion barrier fluctuated violently. The Spider Repelling Charm was indeed effective against the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider. If it had been the Ironclad Charm, it would probably have been destroyed.
The spiderlings were blocked more than a yard outside the barrier, pacing and hissing in frustration, waving their chelicerae but unable to advance an inch. But the three adult giant spiders were slowly and stubbornly pushing against the barrier; the tips of their massive chelicerae had even pierced through the invisible magical field. Although they were still some distance from Karen and the others, the stench was already overwhelming!
"The barrier can't withstand the simultaneous attack of three adults!" Karen instantly assessed the situation. "Change tactics! Wesley, Ernesto, Fabian! You three concentrate, maintain the banishment spell barrier, and hold off the swarm of spiderlings! I'll handle the three larger ones! Keep an eye on my position and be ready to provide support at any time!"
"Karen! You're all alone?!" Wesley exclaimed.
"Listen to him! Maintain the barrier!" Ernesto shouted sharply. He knew that Karen was the only one capable of quickly eliminating the threat. "Karen, be careful! If necessary, we can leave with brooms."
Karen didn't answer; his "Eye of Truth" was firmly locked onto the leftmost giant spider, the adult spider that was frantically charging at the barrier. Its magical core surged violently beneath its head, and the movements of its eight legs were broken down into clear trajectories in Karen's eyes. The opportunity was fleeting!
Just as the giant spider hesitated for a moment due to its forced breakthrough of the barrier, Karen moved! His wand shot out instantly, so fast it was almost invisible, striking out with a strange rhythm:
"Tarantallegra!"
A condensed purplish-red beam of light struck the adult giant spider's body in the middle, where the eight legs converged, with perfect accuracy!
"Click-clack-clack-clack!!!"
A chilling and utterly absurd scene unfolded! The ferocious, massive adult eight-eyed spider, resembling a small mobile fortress, suddenly stiffened its eight thick, powerful legs. Then, in a completely uncontrolled, frenzied rhythm, it began to convulse, rise, fall, cross, and twist wildly! It was as if manipulated by invisible threads, performing a mad "octopus tap dance"! Its massive body, thrown off balance by the chaotic leg movements, crashed to the ground, its chelicerae flailing futilely in the air, emitting hissing sounds a mixture of anger and utter confusion! It had completely lost its threat, and its erratic kicking even obstructed the path of another adult giant spider charging towards it!
"Well done!" Ernesto couldn't help but shout, while simultaneously maintaining the repelling barrier to push back several young spider wolves that tried to rush forward. Wesley and Fabian were greatly encouraged!
Karen didn't pause for a moment. His target immediately shifted to the adult giant spider in the middle, whose progress was slightly hindered by its companion's "dance".
The giant spider seemed startled by its companion's strange state, a hint of anthropomorphic doubt flashing in its compound eyes, and its momentum slowed slightly.
"Now!" Karen's spells rained down like a storm, her high-speed casting technique pushed to its limits:
"Stupefy! (Faints and collapses!)"
A blinding red light struck the giant spider hard below its relatively vulnerable compound eyes!
Bang! The giant spider's massive body jolted violently, letting out a painful cry as its charge was abruptly halted.
Before it could fully recover from the dizziness, Karen's second spell followed, the wand tracing a short, powerful arc:

This spell, which can knock away an opponent's weapon, was cast on the giant spider, and its target became its pincers!

A muffled explosion emanated from the giant spider's body! Its massive form stiffened abruptly, as if its bones had been removed. The red light in its compound eyes instantly went out, and a viscous green liquid mixed with carapace fragments violently gushed from its mouthparts, compound eyes, and even the gaps in its carapace! It crashed to the ground, its eight legs twitching slightly before becoming completely still.
The whole process was lightning fast! From the first one being knocked down by the "Dance Step Spell" to the second one being completely defeated by the precise "Stun", "Weapon Removal", and "Shattered Bones" triple attack, it only took ten seconds!
"Merlin!" Wesley stared in disbelief, almost forgetting to maintain the banishment spell, causing the barrier to fluctuate slightly, but it quickly returned to normal, giving the spiderlings no chance to take advantage.
The last adult giant spider witnessed the tragic scene of its two companions, one dancing and the other dying, and a hint of fear flashed in its compound eyes! It let out a piercing screech, stopped attacking the barrier, and instead turned around abruptly, its eight legs flailing wildly, trying to escape! The swarm of spiderlings also became more restless due to the death of their leader and their fear.
"Oh no, it's going to run away!" Fabian exclaimed.
"We can't let it get away!" Ernesto reacted with lightning speed, his wand instantly pointing at the relatively weak point where the giant spider's carapace met on its back. The spell was precise and ruthless: "Diffindo! (Tear it apart!)"
A sharp spell slashed through the air and struck the giant spider hard in the gaps of its carapace! Green sap splattered, and the giant spider let out a painful roar, its escape halted.
"Wesley! Fabian! Hold the barrier!" Cullen barked, her wand pointing at the target again. "Ernesto, well done! Watch this! Epulso! (Sandstorm!)"
A powerful shockwave emanated from the tip of Karen's wand, no longer targeting a single point, but covering the entire hindquarters of the injured giant spider!

The giant spider's rear half of its carapace, along with several legs, shattered and flew off in the violent explosion! Its massive forebody, propelled by immense inertia, lurched forward a few more steps before crashing to the ground with a dying cry, completely losing its ability to move.
The three greatest threats were instantly eliminated under Karen's tactical command and precise strikes!
"Spider larvae! Don't let them get away!" Karen immediately changed targets. Without the suppression of the adults, the spider larvae began to scatter under the combined effects of fear and the repelling spell, fleeing in all directions.

"Incarcerous!" Fabian mustered his courage, waved his wand, and several thick ropes appeared out of thin air, wrapping around the nearest spiderlings and tripping them to the ground.
"Stupefy!" "Stupefy!" Karen and Ernesto, like the most precise hunters, flicked their wands repeatedly, and beams of red light from the Stunning Charm were accurately shot at the spiderlings that were pushed by the Banishing Charm or tripped by ropes.
boom! boom! boom!
One after another, the spiderlings froze and collapsed in the red light.
The battle ended faster than expected. In the end, all ten or so spiderlings, along with three adults, were either knocked down or killed. Silence returned to the edge of the forest, broken only by the heavy breathing of the four men and the thick, pungent smell of blood, sourness, and burnt carapace in the air.
