Chapter 122: Twins of sea
Chapter 122: Twins of sea
Ray passed through the last layer of shield around the prison; no water was inside the bubble of the last shield. Ray always wondered with what material they made the prison that it could withstand high pressure of water.
The answer was much simpler: inside a bubble vacuum devoid of any water, the prison itself was a small building. Ray could sense around 100 people were inside, with all of them being in something like a coma state.
He had to deal with the inside later; the current match-off was against the two people standing on top of the prison. Both had the same identical features and both had no eyes; it was just empty, with slim figures and no hair. Ray didn’t know if they were women or men.
"I assume you two are the wardens." Ray observed their movements; the way their bodies reacted to sound was different in a way that he couldn’t describe.
"What is your." The other one continued: "Goal blood angel?"
"Would you believe me if I say I brought food?" Ray’s eyes narrowed; the girl from before was just bait to test his powers; these two were the real guards.
One of them disappeared from sight; in one blink, it was behind Ray with a sword in the hope of surprising him, but Ray was faster as he dodged the strike, and a rain of water bullets rained down on him.
Orbs of blood moved constantly around him to get the impact of water bullets as he got into a close-range fight with the other one; its speed was so great that Ray had a hard time adjusting his defense to the swords and knives.
"Both of them have something like blood dance; their movement is mixed with teleporting!" Thinking of a counter after seconds, Ray had already come up with a plan.
"Fine, let’s dance." A wave of magic came out of his body, changing the area to its core; a red gas took over most of the space.
The one on the ground pointed at the ground; steam came inside from the ground, trying to push the red gas outside of the bubble, but it failed.
The other one teleported to Ray’s side; however, in the middle of the attack, Ray teleported to the side, kicking his head. Before his leg could land, the guard teleported too; their battle changed into constant teleporting as red and blue lights clashed like dots in the sky of the bubble.
"The gas is not real; it’s a resemblance of his magic," the other one whispered as it joined the fight too. There was no point in trying to destroy them.
Their tempo increased as Ray attacked and defended both of them at the same time; one of them aimed at the places he had the chance to teleport to, while the other one protected the shooter.
As more time passed, Ray acknowledged their combo, faking a mistake in teleporting. Both of them attacked the spot; their attack went as Ray attacked from his previous spot to the one with a sword in hand. A blood slash cut through the flesh of his hand. As it reached the palm, the blood slash exploded with the palm of the hand of his enemy.
Both of them stayed back as the injured one started to heal his wound.
"Get serious."
With that, Ray summoned a golden orb above his head as its powers got absorbed into her blood system. His blood changed into the blood of an angel with its color turning into gold.
"Whales of steam."
A bubble popped above each of their bodies as their bodies transformed into a gas form, with gas coming from the ground too; both of them were perfectly hidden.
"Their bodies don’t understand the world like a normal human; their way of communicating with the world is with their eyes!" During the fight Ray had changed his magic many times, but each time they could perfectly see him, and if they had an ability like blood dance, what stopped them from having the ability to see through water like he could see through blood?
The two waited for steam to take over the over-bubble; suddenly, the gases in the air turned into a golden gas, and light shone out from each of them to the point nothing could be seen.
With closed eyes, Ray sensed an anomaly in a point of steam cloud; with a blood blade in his hand, he attacked. His goal was just simply to kill the opponent no matter what.
A dark slash came from outside of the bubble, making a hole on it while stopping Ray from killing his enemy. Scared of the hole in the bubble, both the twins stepped back and used their magic to restore it.
"You forgot me..." Ray’s grasp found one of their necks; the enemy wanted to run away by turning into steam, but Ray’s grasp didn’t let him as his grasp crushed the bone and flesh of the guard’s neck.
The other one just looked without any emotion, as it continued to fix the hole. The thought of death didn’t scare him, but the hole in the bubble seemed to terrify him.
Two familiar auras reached the bubble at the same time. Ray faced Alexandria as she held her katana tight; she didn’t talk, just stared at him.
"You could have massaged me, bitch." Following a giggle, Ray was happy to hear her voice.
"What better massage than that?" Ray didn’t look back; the two enemies in front of him were still dangerous.
Jade moved down next to him. "By the way, your new looks suck." Her smile grew wider. "There is a level 9 inside too. Which one do you want to pick?"
"Just go and pick up the woman, I tell you; no need for a fight." Pictures of Marian and the key to his bunker were sent to Jade through their minds during their conversation.
Obeying his request, Jade flew toward the entrance of the prison.
"Are you going to stare me to death?"
Alexanderia’s voice was dangerously low: "Did I ever know you?"
Ray answered with honesty: "No."
"Death’s door."
"Inferno’s door."
