Chapter 2110 - 2111: Sending Yan Qingjun Home
Chapter 2110 - 2111: Sending Yan Qingjun Home
The journey from Moscow to Huaxia Yanjing is not far; a plane ride takes merely eight or nine hours, so it’s like sleeping through it and waking up upon arrival.
Ye Xunhuan and Olivia boarded the plane at noon, and it landed promptly at the Capital International Airport a little past two in the afternoon.
Once the plane stabilized, Ye Xunhuan and Olivia disembarked under the flight attendant’s lovely announcement, naturally bringing Yan Qingjun along as well.
After all, Yan Qingjun’s mind was gone now. If left alone, he wouldn’t quite starve to death, but he’d definitely wander aimlessly, causing trouble for the government. Since Ye Xunhuan had already brought Yan Qingjun from Moscow, there was no harm in going a bit further to accompany him.
Upon returning to the capital, Ye Xunhuan took a deep breath, feeling how Huaxia still held its charm. The air might not be as fresh as abroad, but it carried a sense of familiarity.
Perhaps due to the emotions tied to returning to one’s home country, there’s an intensified emotional experience.
Due to Ye Xunhuan not informing anyone of his return from Moscow, there wasn’t anyone there to pick him up, forcing Ye Xunhuan to hire a cab.
After getting a cab, neither Ye Xunhuan nor Olivia headed straight to a hotel or sought out food, having already eaten on the plane.
They headed straight to the Yan family estate, as Yan Qingjun couldn’t stay with them indefinitely.
Moreover, Yan Qingjun was a burden and inconvenience, best left with the Yan family.
Currently, the Yan family was suffering significant losses, with half dead; their power was reduced. Now that Yan Qingjun had turned into a simpleton, the Yan family wouldn’t dare to act rashly against Ye Xunhuan if they hoped to avoid fading into oblivion.
However, if the Yan family wished to disappear, that was another matter entirely.
The old Yan family residence remained unchanged, and Yan Jingchu still presided over it, maintaining control over Tenglong Group.
Upon arriving at the Yan family residence with Olivia and Yan Qingjun, the guards were immediately thrown into disarray.
Now, Ye Xunhuan was an absolute legend at the Yan family, an undeniable menace. Without Ye Xunhuan, the Yan family wouldn’t have fallen to such dire straits.
Ye Xunhuan’s presence caused the guards to tense up, fearing he was there to stir trouble.
"Relax; I’m not here to cause trouble." Ye Xunhuan noticed their nervousness and spoke up, "Who’s in charge here now?"
Ye Xunhuan wasn’t aware of the current head of the Yan family, having not kept up with their affairs for some time.
"It’s... Miss Yan Jingchu!"
"Still her?" Ye Xunhuan showed a trace of surprise. "That woman really has nine lives; she’s still not dead!"
It should be noted that Ye Xunhuan had once asked Longshou to help him with a favor, which included sending Yan Jingchu on her way.
Yet Yan Jingchu survived. What Ye Xunhuan didn’t know was, at that time, Yan Jingchu was still unconscious, and whether she would recover was uncertain. Longshou lingered for two days without her waking, and she regained consciousness just as Ye Xunhuan healed, sparing her.
Yan Jingchu truly had a miraculous fate. Had she awoken earlier, she’d have ended up as a pile of bones!
"Go, notify her that I’ve arrived," Ye Xunhuan said casually. "Bring her brother here too!"
Saying this, Ye Xunhuan grabbed Yan Qingjun’s shoulder and tossed him forward.
"Bang!"
Yan Qingjun hit the ground and immediately burst into tears like a confused child, his face full of grievance: "You bully me, you bully me, I’m telling mom you bully me..."
The other Yan family members were trembling at the sight of Yan Qingjun; they were dumbfounded witnessing such a transformation.
What the... what on earth happened here?
How did Yan Qingjun end up like this?
Curious though they were, they knew better than to pry. After a quick glance, they hurried to inform Yan Jingchu.
Everything waited until Yan Jingchu returned.
At Tenglong Group, Yan Jingchu was currently at work. Upon hearing of Ye Xunhuan’s arrival, her heart pounded wildly with terror flooding every corner of her being.
Yan Jingchu had once been extremely arrogant but fell out of grace when Ye Xunhuan wounded her, depriving her of her martial prowess and near-killing her.
Ye Xunhuan even enslaved her. Now his return filled Yan Jingchu with anxiety and fear, especially knowing he’d brought Yan Qingjun along, escalating her fear.
In the midst of a meeting, she abandoned it, promptly leaving the room and rushing towards the Yan family.
Meanwhile, Ye Xunhuan sat leisurely in the Yan family living room, sipping tea, utterly carefree, while Yan Qingjun sat beside him, tearing paper like a senile child.
Yan Jingchu soon arrived at the Yan family residence. Discovering Ye Xunhuan in the living room, and hearing he’d brought Yan Qingjun back along with a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman, left Yan Jingchu feeling heavy-hearted.
She quickly made her way to the living room.
Upon entering, Yan Jingchu instantly spotted Ye Xunhuan and the others.
Seeing Yan Qingjun fiddling with paper rendered Yan Jingchu utterly petrified.
Despite Yan Qingjun appearing unchanged on the surface, his actions were unlike those of any adult.
"What, not happy to see me?"
"No... no!" Yan Jingchu snapped out of her daze, shivering slightly, and responded timidly.
Her gaze briefly swept across the room, signaling an unspoken command.
With that, those present quickly vacated the room.
"Master..."
"I brought your brother back; take good care of him and don’t lose him!" Ye Xunhuan said indifferently. "If he’s lost, don’t come looking for me!"
"Now that he’s simple-minded, if you can, find a doctor to check him out, see if he can be normal again," Ye Xunhuan added softly.
Yan Qingjun had lost his senses!
This revelation was a thunderbolt, shattering Yan Jingchu’s thoughts, leaving her at a complete loss.
Yan Qingjun was the Yan family’s sole hope, now turned into a fool, marking a dire catastrophe for them!
Ye Xunhuan was entirely to blame, yet she had no means to confront him; more so, she was forced to address him as master, following his orders obediently!
A profound tragedy indeed, arguably the most tragic reality one could endure.
