"Um……"
"So, don't you think the starry sky is even more beautiful now?"
"Ah...indeed, she looks even more beautiful now. Just like your face, Your Majesty."
"Comparing me to the starry sky?"
"Hmm... You far surpass the starry sky."
Philomena stroked Saint Karina's slightly flushed face, which was flushed from sweating during exercise.
She was looking through Saint Karina's blue eyes at the future of that sea of stars.
The most common type is the elliptical galaxy, which has a bright, elliptical shape. Spiral galaxies are disk-shaped with curved spiral arms.
Interactions between neighboring galaxies can lead to galaxy mergers or the formation of massive amounts of stars, resulting in what are known as starburst galaxies. Small galaxies lacking a structured pattern are called irregular galaxies.
Although our understanding of dark matter is still limited, it accounts for approximately 90% of the mass in most galaxies. Observational data shows that supermassive black holes exist at the cores of the vast majority of galaxies, and they are considered the primary cause of active galactic nuclei.
Almost no galaxies exist in isolation; many galaxies are bound together by gravitational forces. A group containing around 50 galaxies is called a galaxy group, while larger groups containing thousands of galaxies and spanning millions of parsecs of space are called galaxy clusters.
A galaxy cluster is usually dominated by a giant elliptical galaxy whose tidal forces destroy nearby satellite galaxies and add mass to the galaxy.
Superclusters are massive aggregates containing tens of thousands of galaxies, including galaxy groups, galaxy clusters, and some solitary galaxies. On a supercluster scale, galaxies are arranged in thin sheets and filaments, surrounding a vast void.
"Your Excellency, you're moving too fast. Your knowledge is too vast; I simply can't keep up."
During the process of imparting knowledge and teaching, Philomena, seeing such complex and profound knowledge of the cosmos for the first time, was so captivated that she almost fainted.
This is definitely not something that can be contained by knowledge, but rather something that can be comfortably fainted from exhaustion.
“This is nothing, Philomena. You know I am very knowledgeable. You have a lot to learn today and in the future.”
“Your Holiness, you do know a lot… ha…”
Panting heavily, Philomena, who hadn't had a proper rest, started the next round.
"Please give me proper guidance; I know nothing about this..."
And so, the new lessons began.
The knowledge of the starry sea is so vast, measured in light-years. Not to mention ordinary humans, even long-lived beings and gods would find it difficult to reach the other side of the starry sea.
The finish line... seems so far away...
Going back to what we said earlier, galaxies are mainly divided into three categories: elliptical galaxies, spiral galaxies, and irregular galaxies.
Elliptical galaxies are classified based on their estimated ellipticity, ranging from E0 (nearly round galaxies) to E7 (very elongated galaxies). These galaxies have an elliptical appearance regardless of the viewing angle.
They appear to lack any structure and contain relatively little interstellar matter. These galaxies typically contain a small number of open clusters and newly formed stars, but are predominantly composed of older, mature stars orbiting the galactic center in various directions. Some of their properties resemble smaller globular clusters.
Most galaxies are elliptical galaxies, many formed through interactions, collisions, or mergers between galaxies. Giant elliptical galaxies often appear in the central regions of galaxy groups. Starburst galaxies are the result of galaxy collisions and can potentially lead to the formation of giant elliptical galaxies.
Extragalactic galaxies with a spiral structure are called spiral galaxies, and are represented by the letter S in galaxy classification.
The spiral shape of spiral galaxies was first discovered during observations of the Canes Venatici galaxy M51. The central region of a spiral galaxy is lenticular, surrounded by a flattened disk. Several spiral arms extend from both ends of the bulging nucleus, superimposed on the galactic disk.
Spiral galaxies can be divided into two types: normal spiral galaxies and barred spiral galaxies. Normal spiral galaxies are further divided into three subtypes: a, b, and c. The Sa type has a large central region with sparsely distributed tightly coiled spiral arms; the Sb type has a smaller central region with larger and more extended spiral arms; and the Sc type has a small bright nucleus in the central region with large and loose spiral arms.
In addition to the high-luminosity O and B-type stars, supergiants, and ionized hydrogen regions concentrated in the spiral arms, there is also a large amount of dust and gas distributed on the galactic disk. Viewed from the side, it appears as a narrow dust band on the main plane, with obvious extinction.
In spiral galaxies, the spiral arms are approximately logarithmic spirals, which theoretically indicate that this is a disturbance pattern caused by the rotation of numerous stars.
Like a star, the spiral arms also rotate around the center, but the angular velocity of rotation is not constant. This means that stars can pass through the spiral arms, which are high-density regions or density waves.
When stars enter a spiral arm, they slow down, creating a higher density. Spiral arms are visible because the high density encourages star formation there, resulting in many bright and young stars.
Spiral galaxies typically have a sparsely structured halo enveloping the entire galactic disk, called the galactic halo. This halo primarily contains Population II objects, with globular clusters being a typical example. An intermediate-mass spiral galaxy often contains 100-300 globular clusters, randomly scattered around the galactic disk. Further outwards, there may be even sparser spheres of gas, called the galactic halo itself.
Spiral galaxies have masses ranging from billions to trillions of solar masses, corresponding to absolute magnitudes of -15 to -21. Their diameters range from 5 to 50 kpc. The general spectral type of Sa-type galaxies is K, Sb-type is F to K, and Sc-type is A to F.
The main celestial objects that produce the total spectrum include both high-luminosity early-type stars and high-luminosity late-type stars. Population I objects form the galactic disk and spiral arms, while Population II objects mainly constitute the galactic nucleus, galactic halo, and galactic corona.
"Your Holiness, could you please pour me a glass of water?"
Perhaps she was already satisfied, or perhaps she wanted a break, Filomena stopped Santa Karina from starting the next round.
"No problem. I'll go right away."
Saint Karina didn't make things difficult for Philomena. She pulled her finger away, licked off the sweet and salty liquid with sweet bean sauce on it, and turned to go to the kettle.
The wisps of steam had disappeared, and the water in the kettle, which had been boiling for a while, had cooled to room temperature after being left there.
She turned around straightforwardly, her half-wet, snow-white hair tracing a beautiful arc in the air, like a dazzling waterfall. Fine mist danced in the warm light, creating a breathtaking beauty.
Saint Karina had previously turned off the lights so that Philomena could enjoy the starry night view, but has now turned them back on.
194. The Tenderness of a Bad Woman
"Here, please have a drink."
Philomena took the water, her fingertips briefly brushing against Saint Karina's skin.
The delicate, warm, and soft touch made my fingertips reluctant to leave.
"Is this considered halftime?"
"You could call this a halftime break if you wanted."
Saint Karina smiled slightly. There was a certain something in that smile.
"Then let's continue, Your Holiness."
That water was certainly not ordinary water; Saint Karina had added computer components to it beforehand, making it a valuable resource for the two of them to explore the starry sea, learn new knowledge, and progress together.
This wasn't the first time for the two of them, and it certainly wasn't their first time today.
When it came to a second chance at love, they were quite adept at it, and whether it was adjusting each other's moods or comforting each other, they were more uninhibited in their words and actions.
Compared to older mothers, like the Little Mermaid Queen, younger girls offer a better experience. Older mothers are often either assertive or unrestrained, lacking the youthful charm of older women.
That's right. Even if immortal beings are hard to age, with proper care, they can look no different from young girls in their teens or early twenties. But that mature charm is undeniable, whether it's unintentional or deliberate.
“Your Holiness, you are not paying attention. What are you thinking about? Although I don’t want to be jealous, when you are doing something enjoyable, Philomena still hopes that you will only think of me.”
It's not surprising that Philomena said something like that: "Burning body, scalding temperature."
She was, after all, a young girl just beginning to experience love; it's not surprising that she was possessive and jealous.
Through commands, Saint Karina could make Philomena obey her every word, but she had no interest in a doll without its own thoughts and preferred Philomena to be herself. As long as it didn't harm her interests as its master, she even enjoyed seeing these women vying for her attention, as this was how she maintained stability in her harem.
"I was just thinking, you're really sexy right now~"
Saint Karina was certainly not foolish enough to directly voice the comparison that had just been on her mind.
To talk about other women in front of Philomena during such a joyful moment is so low in emotional intelligence that it's no wonder he's single for life.
"You don't look like a clergyman right now, but more like a public relationswoman who has just received gold coins and is about to serve her customers."
“If Your Excellency wishes, I am willing to serve you at any time. In fact, I have long wanted to leave Your Excellency’s mark on my body.”
"Which type of mark do you prefer?"
Saint Karina could grant Philomena's request immediately.
However, before that, she planned to listen to Philomena's demands to avoid being asked overly bizarre requests.
"For the sake of the dignity of clergy, I hope you will not put it around my neck, but rather hang your personal ring here."
She asserted her feminine advantages.
It makes perfect sense for a planet to have its own rings. Saint Karina couldn't help but marvel at how well she had taught astronomy.
This brings us back to the previously mentioned spiral galaxies, such as the M101 Windmill Galaxy.
Spiral galaxies typically have a sparsely structured halo that covers the entire structure, called a galactic halo. This halo is similar to the O halo, which represents the peak of female dominance. It mainly contains Population II objects, with globular clusters being a typical example.
"can."
Saint Karina used magic to conjure a ring and hung it on the planetary sphere in front of her.
"Hmm..."
Then, Philomena let out a muffled groan that sounded like both pleasure and suppressed pain.
"Are you ok?"
Seemingly afraid of hurting the other person, Saint Karina asked.
"I'm perfectly fine. Your Majesty, would you like to... try out your holy sword after so long..."
Philomena patiently guided her. She had been longing for the feeling of fullness that the holy sword possessed for a long time.
This brings us to barred spiral galaxies. The center of a barred spiral galaxy is bar-shaped, with spiral arms extending outwards on both sides.
Approximately two-thirds of spiral galaxies are barred spiral galaxies. The bar typically influences the motion of stars and interstellar gas within a barred spiral galaxy, and it also affects the spiral arms. The spiral arms of a barred spiral galaxy appear to emerge from the ends of a short bar. In contrast, in ordinary spiral galaxies, stars emerge directly from the core; in galaxy classification, they are denoted by the symbol SB.
For example, the Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy with a huge galactic disk, about 30,000 parsecs or 100,000 light-years in diameter and about 3,000 light-years thick; it contains about 300 billion stars.
"So, how was it? Was my holy sword big enough, exciting enough, and dazzling enough to meet your expectations?"
Saint Karina deliberately made the Holy Sword starlight-colored, seemingly to complement today's mini-lesson.
It can only be said that when the Holy Maiden gets into play, she is much more skilled than the ordinary clergy and those lowly minions.
"Pfft."
However, the comical color made Philomena laugh.
The colors of the starry sea are very charming and intoxicating, but when used in this kind of lesbian affair, or rather, on the weapon of this holy sword, it does make her unable to suppress a smile.
"It is indeed top-quality goods. However, Your Holiness, you have given me such a large tip today and bestowed upon me what I wanted. You should impart more knowledge to me so that I can get my money's worth."
"Indeed, I must work hard so that I don't waste this beautiful night and the lovely woman."
Saint Karina leaned forward and touched the black hole in the sea of stars again with her fingers.
It was a deep, dark, mysterious place, full of unknowns.
At the center of an active galaxy, there is usually a supermassive black hole, and the enormous energy radiated by it is believed to be produced by matter falling into the black hole.
Galaxies that emit high-energy X-rays are classified as Seyfert galaxies, quasars, or Lacertae objects. Active galaxies that emit radio frequencies from relative jets erupting from their cores are classified as radio galaxies.
In the unified field theory galaxy model, these different types of galaxies are interpreted as results obtained from observations from different perspectives.
"Philomena, this time, there won't be a second halftime break."
Saint Karina lightly pecked Philomena's lips; it was a shallow kiss, but her action was profound.
This is inside a black hole. Besides the galaxies mentioned earlier, there are also irregular galaxies.
First, they are irregular in shape, lacking a distinct nucleus and spiral arms. They are designated with the letter Irr. Irregular galaxies account for only 5% of the brightest galaxies in the entire sky.
According to the classification method of galaxies, irregular galaxies are divided into two types: Irr I type and Irr II type.
Type I galaxies are typical irregular galaxies. In addition to the general characteristics mentioned above, some also have faintly visible, irregular bar-like structures. Their masses range from hundreds of millions to billions of times that of the Sun, and some can even reach 100 billion times the mass of the Sun.
They are relatively small, with major axes ranging from 2 to 9 kiloparsecs. Irr I star populations are similar to Sc-type spiral galaxies, typically consisting of young Population I objects such as OB-type stars, ionized hydrogen regions, gas, and dust.
Type Irr II galaxies have an amorphous appearance, making it difficult to distinguish their constituent elements such as stars and star clusters, and they often have distinct dust lanes. Some Type II irregular galaxies may be galaxies in the process of eruption or post-eruption, while others are galaxies distorted by gravitational perturbations from companion galaxies. Therefore, the origins of Type I and Type II irregular galaxies may be completely different.
"Your Holiness... um..."
Saint Karina's movements were large, yet still very gentle.
That's the gentleness of a bad woman; while getting straight to the point, she doesn't forget to soothe and comfort.
Would you like some milk?
"Where did this milk come from? I don't know anything about it."
"Of course, it was specially prepared for you, Holy Maiden!"
As she spoke, Philomena asserted her feminine advantage.
"Well……"
Saint Karina was forced to open her mouth.
Then, her mouth was stuffed, and she could hear swallowing sounds.
"tasty?"
"So rich, it's wonderful..."
Stimulated by the exquisite milky flavor, Saint Karina saw more galaxies than usual.
