Chapter 51 The End of Elimination
Chapter 51 The End of Elimination
"clang!!!"
With a plucked pipa note, Muzan's flesh and blood appeared in an infinitely extending and ever-changing architectural complex.
Flesh and blood grew wildly, first the skeleton, then the blood vessels, flesh and blood, frantically fusing together.
In an instant, Muzan's ferocious and furious figure slowly appeared, his body surging with a malevolent aura that was almost solidified.
"Impossible, impossible..."
He clenched his teeth so tightly they almost broke, and squeezed out the three words with extreme shock, anger, and resentment, which echoed repeatedly in the empty, boundless city.
Directly opposite Muzan was a female ghost with only one eye, holding a pipa, sitting quietly in place.
In Muzan's crimson eyes, the scenes that had just occurred were replaying in his mind.
The boy wearing sun-shaped earrings and wielding a flame-shaped sword overlapped with the Yoriichi in my memory.
The next second, countless black bone whips suddenly erupted from behind Muzan, their blades covered with sharp spikes, and swept outwards in all directions!
"Boom—!"
In an instant, the seemingly endless cluster of buildings behind him shattered with a deafening roar, bricks and rubble flying everywhere as they collapsed.
"Lord Muzan, please calm down!"
Nakime spoke slowly in an almost indifferent voice, and then plucked the strings of the biwa in her arms.
"clang!"
The houses destroyed by Muzan vanished in an instant, and in the blink of an eye, intact houses slowly rose up to fill the gaps left by the destruction.
Muzan completely ignored Nakime behind him. His murderous aura continued to surge, and his scarlet eyes were fixed on the void. The image of that boy at the beginning kept replaying in his mind.
The flame-shaped markings on his forehead, the sun-shaped earrings by his ears, and those blood-red eyes.
Impossible. Ji Guoyuan turned into skeletons long ago. How could he still be alive?
The reason that had been clouded by fear was now slowly returning.
When he calmed down and thought about it carefully, he was shocked to realize that the boy was surrounded by ghostly energy that originated from the same source as his own.
That boy... seems to be a ghost too.
However, he wanted to find the boy by controlling the cells.
Something he had forgotten came to light.
A year ago, a ghost called his own name. He intended to control the cells he had transplanted to kill the disrespectful ghost.
But he found that he couldn't control it and eventually lost his connection with the ghost.
At first, he thought the ghost had died at the hands of a demon hunter, which was why he lost his connection.
But now it seems that the ghost is not dead at all; it has clearly broken free from its control.
An even greater rage than before surged and exploded in his chest like a volcano, and the killing intent in his scarlet eyes almost solidified into a tangible form.
But the more he thought about the boy's face, the more vaguely familiar it seemed, as if he had seen it somewhere before, but he couldn't quite place the details.
Then, he roughly inserted his index finger into his temple and began to stir it.
Before long, the image of the wooden cabin in the snowy mountains suddenly became clear. The boy's face in my memory overlapped perfectly with the figure holding the flaming knife on the street just now.
"snort!"
Muzan let out a cold snort from his throat, and a surge of overwhelming rage instantly swept over his entire body.
An invisible pressure exploded out, and the entire Infinite City began to tremble violently.
The beams and pillars of the house creaked, and the distortion of space became increasingly pronounced.
Muzan then coldly looked at Nakime behind him, who, as if receiving a command, plucked the strings of her biwa.
As the sound of the pipa began, four demons appeared before Muzan.
They are all different in shape, but in their eyes are engraved the characters "Lower Moon Six" and "Lower Moon Four", "Lower Moon Two" and "Lower Moon Three".
However, the words in their eyes were all cracked.
When they saw the bewildered look on their faces as they stared at the sudden change before them, they saw the person who instilled fear in their very bones and even in their very cells.
"Kneel down, all of you!"
Muzan's angry yet cold voice rang out.
The four demons knelt down on the ground, trembling, without daring to raise their heads, almost without hesitation.
The eliminated Lower Moon Two was drenched in cold sweat, which dripped from his forehead onto the floor like a stream of water.
"It's...it's Lord Muzan...I...we..."
Lower Moon Two gritted his teeth in fear, his heart trembling uncontrollably.
Muzan's cold gaze fell upon Lower Moon Two. "What's wrong with you? Tell me!"
When Lower Moon Two heard the voice coming from above, the oppressive feeling and fear that almost crushed it instantly surged.
It slammed its forehead hard against the floor with a dull thud.
"Lord Muzan... I'm sorry!"
The voice was squeezed out from between his teeth, trembling uncontrollably.
Every word seemed to be begging for mercy from death, fearing that they would be reduced to ashes by Muzan in the next second.
The other three lower moons were already shrouded in fear, not daring to have even the slightest distracting thought.
He could only press his head firmly to the ground, his body trembling like a leaf, quietly awaiting Muzan's final judgment.
"How long has it been?"
Muzan's voice slowly rose, his deep tone devoid of any emotion, yet it struck the hearts of the four Lower Moons like a heavy hammer.
"You were swept away in the bloody battle, and you haven't even caught up yet. What use are you to me?"
Every word that was spoken carried an oppressive, suffocating pressure.
The moment the words left their mouths, the four eliminated Lower Moon demons were suddenly gripped by excruciating pain, their skin bursting open inch by inch, and blood gushing out.
With a cracking sound of bones breaking, their limbs were suddenly detached from their bodies without warning, falling heavily to the ground with a dull thud.
"Lord Muzan, please give us one last chance, we..."
The Lower Moon Third Nightmare felt the chilling aura of death.
No longer caring about fear, they frantically raised their heads, and dozens of faces roared at the same time, their voices filled with desperate pleas.
"Oh? An opportunity?"
Muzan lowered his eyes and glanced at him indifferently. His scarlet eyes were devoid of any warmth, as if he were looking at an insignificant ant.
He simply raised his hand casually and waved it lightly.
"Pfft—!"
With a sickening thud, Nightmare's body exploded instantly, turning into a pool of foul-smelling flesh that splattered at the feet of the other three ghosts.
Muzan looked at the three trembling demons at his feet and a cold smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
That indifferent pleasure of being in control of everything slowly crept into his heart.
"Since you want this opportunity... then I'll give you this opportunity."
He paused, his scarlet eyes surging with undisguised killing intent, each word striking the eardrums of the three lower-strike birds like a heavy hammer:
"You three, go to Kyoto Prefecture and bring back to me a demon wearing a sun-shaped earring...!"
(The following is not intended to increase the word count or padding; it's simply to answer some questions from friends.)
(As for the Yoshinobu pairing, I don't think everyone really wants to see it, so I'll only write about the Snake-Love pairing and Zenitsu-Nezuko pairing from the original work, which are the two pairings that everyone can accept. I won't write too much about other pairings.)
(I will write about the camaraderie among the other soldiers!)
(Regarding Nezuko's swordsman setting, I did find that it wasn't revealed in the original work or by the author, Koyoharu Gotouge. So, I'll just consider this fulfilling a dream for everyone and making it plausible.)
(As for whether Nezuko can use Sun Breathing or create her own breathing technique, I think it's better to use Sun Breathing. After all, in the original work, when Tanjiro was a child, Nezuko was watching him dance the Kagura dance. It's hard for her not to know it!)
(In the early part of the story, because it requires the appearance of key characters, I may follow the original storyline. However, the later part of the story will be greatly changed, since the fighting style has changed.)
(Furthermore, the extent to which everyone wants to see Oni Tanjiro's strength will be revealed in later scenes, so a gradual process is needed in the early stages.)
(As for when the sunlight will be overcome, everyone says it will be overcome at the first Nine Pillars Meeting. I think... let's keep it a secret for now! Anyway, the Nine Pillars Meeting is definitely going to be a fun event.)
(In a few more chapters, I might switch perspectives and write about the story of Doma and Kotoha, the well-known prince of the Elysium Cult. If you want to read this story, I will. However, since the characters cannot be out of character, the story of Doma and Kotoha may not be as you see it online.)
(Therefore, I'm asking for your opinions, dear readers: do you want the story of Doma Kotoyo? If you do, type 1; if not, type 2.)
(Thank you for your recognition and reading. Please let me know if there are any typos, and I will correct them immediately.)
(bows) (Thank you) (May everyone be in good health) (May all your wishes come true) (May you be slim and have a full wallet!)
